I'm just returning to the game and noticed the torp changes...
I have one question came to mind:
Do the NPCs that use torps also get the range nerf?

Most torp rats orbit at 25-30 km and most Cruise missile rats orbit at 50km...
Just my observations, not from missions though.

Ah yes.. Topics about NPC's not getting the torp range decrease and/or "Omg why can't I use torps at range in missions like I used too its so unfair" is the new Jita it seems..

\ actully for torps to be usefull in mission the torps your being hit with should have lower range... so that you know, the rats come to you becuase they need to get in close.
If they had to get in close then people wouldn't ***** about needing an afterburner.

did you see any of those reasons in this topic ? ... if you have nothing to contribute please shut up. on topic ... npc's have always been buffed whould be nice to have them affected by the same stats that affect us ( like TD and damps )

NPCs are allowed to cheat a little to make up for not having a human brain. Given that, I'm sure you can outsmart them if you try really hard

NPCs are not players. Try substituting NPC ships with player ships (even very poorly fitted) in any lvl 4 mission and let's see how long you will last.

Actually no, I think the torp range for rof swap was a great one.... it only took how many years to implement?
I didnt think the NPCs ranges would be nerfed. I was just hoping after all these years some thought would be put into NPCers and Missioners when these sort of changes are done. I mean hitting Huge rats with cruise missiles while they are hitting you with torps from 100km is uhhh.... completely unbalanced.
NPCers and Missioners don't matter much anyways right?
While many pvpers (I love to pvp btw but I also enjoy ratting and some missioning from time to time) would like to forget totally about those folks, they do exist.
While the range nerf on torps was totally needed and overdue I REALLY wish the devs would take into account what happens to other aspects of their changes.

This is a while ago but I remember rats that use rockets in missions which couldnt hit you because they were out of range, if they have the proper stats why shouldn't torp spitting battleships?

Personally I'm fine with the old torps on NPC's. Reminds me of the good old days before the Torp changes.

I'm really tired of stupid people comparing NPCs with real players, that is a very stupid point to bring up as NO one would think the two are the same OR alike. In other words If I wanted to fight players I would go to low sec or .0 to do it, period.
Again I dont have a problem with the torp changes AGAIN I think they are good, the only point I was brining up is the fact that devs pay little to no attention to how their pvp reasons are for changing things will change the PvE side. How people claim this a is a "whine" is beyond me. Seems anything people dont agree with is a instant "whine" in their eyes.

If level IVs are THAT hard for you try switching down to level IIIs, no cruise or torps in those missions ---------------------------------

No.... and they don't get the RoF boost either.
EDIT: They still don't fit 6 launchers either.

Yeah their definatly still goign a long range.. but then again not really a problem. They hit me at 50-60km, but they still come into my 35km rage range, so i dont really mind lol. Dont need that AB i thought i would either, turns out since the torp changes im doing more damage, quicker and their in my range anyway haha.
