Its probably your firewall. I use a high quality firewall and it seems to be blocking malformed packets from CCP which could be leading to dropped connections.

I'm actually recording a bunch of evidence to prove that CCP is in fact behind this. Its not a mere mistake why you're being disconnected. They are sending your client instructions to disconnect for some reason. I have the IP datagrams right here infront of me. I'm pretty sure they owe some people a refund for services not rendered. I'm gonna get on the phone with my credit card company and reverse the charges they made on my card.

yea im having the same problem, but no ccp isnt sending things to purposely shut down your connection dont be foolish, what possible motive would they have, too much money, need to get rid of some users?.....i have checked my pings and packets, and they are fine. My client works on a friends DSL connection. From what i can gather, this problem seems to be specific to cable modems (friends in Ireland i have talked to seem to confirm this) along with the other thread on this matter. I have also tested a couple OS's so that rules out my initial vista thinking.
I have rang my ISP, who said they are not filtering it, or anything, which is what i thought, because i have never had a problem before the trinity patch, with eve or anyother programme, and now eve is the only thing doing this.
My guess is with the patch, a network/lag fix has effected the client has caused a negative effect which could not have been foreseen, the problem is that because it is only effecting a certain user, it seems it is the ISP, when personally i dont think it is the ISP at all.
I really hope CCP do investigate this thoroughly, because my ISP either isnt telling me something or CCP isnt. And i am not switching ISP for one application that i am spending between 30-45euros a month on. (depending on whether i activate one of the acc's)
