How come eve dose not have a training Q? what happens to all the fans, like my self, who have to leave eve for some time but wish to keep there account active or have a year subscription? It would seem to me that a training Q would be great for active, paying customers.
Please CCP give us a Q to set why we are away!

You mean a queue? People have been asking for this for a while, don't think it's gonna happen.

"That"?
I could see a short queue. Maybe not even a proper queue, but just the ability to select a single skill as an emergency backup.
A long, or unlimited, queue would be a bad thing. If there's going to be a long skill queue, the next logical step is for CCP to sell SP for cash. It amounts to the same thing, especially if you're training alts or growing characters for sale.

'Que' would be the abbreviation... in a twist of irony, 'Q' is actually the acronym.
Also yeah a skill queue for 2 skills or something would be good etc kthx.

I'm very sleepy here, my point was that there is no reason to abbreviate it, but as he explained he forgot how to spell it.

Q is omnipotent, and therefor has all skills to level 5, therefore negating the need for a queue.

please CCP, don't give us a queue. we don't really need one. If we know we won't log on for awhile and we're almost done with a skill we will very simply set a longer one to train and will finish up the shorter skill trains when we are online. Save the effort of adding new coding for features that serve a purpose.

Read this thread: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=531551 While being 12 pages long, this thread hasn't received any official response yet so i'm assuming a queue isn't in the works.
I frankly think that having no skill queue makes EVE a bit of a Tamagotchi Online which in turn dissuades people from opening extra accounts cuz they feel like it's a big hassle keeping up with skill training times. The anti-queue camp in that thread hasn't really put up any solid arguments. Their major arguments are that those players who want a queue are pretty much lazy and want something for nothing and that it would promote character farming. Not that some people got a busy life and this game really should be a competition of who can log in more times and that character cost about the same as monthly subscription now per 1 million skill points trained. Going through the responses I see that it would make a lot of players happier playing this game if they had a one skill queue option available.

It wouldn't be good to have a full-on training queue, and have people simply starting a character on a 30 day timecard and come back in 6 months with BS V, ASC V, AWU V, Large Gun V, etc. This would be an obscenely easy way to flood the market with specialised alts and devalue character trades in general.
On the other hand, an option to start a single (short?) skill should the current one finish while I'm at work would be handy.

Ignore the reason why you won't be playing and consider instead that you won't be playing and others will. Why nerf the people who are actively playing? Why should we remove the one aspect of the game that demands your presence for advancement.
One way to look at it is that skill queues would cost both us and CCP money. If we accept long queues, then the only obstacle to getting a year's worth of SP is 1) the year, 2) the account costs. In this scenario, there's time and money sitting "in escrow," doing nothing. If I want 12 million SP, the only cost to me idle time, which makes me give my cash to CCP all the slower. The next logical step is to just sell 12 M SP for the cost of a year's sub. Nah. Don't like it.
I'm sorry that there are people who have to spend extended amounts of time away from EVE. But allowing them go gain as much as active players is unfair to the active players. Perhaps inactive but current subs should also receive a small ISK stipend. Oh, $180 M a month should do it. ----- TANSTAAFL

Probably been mentioned before.. but it will be abuse by acount traders. Get a trial... que up a ton of skills... buy a month when que finished, set up anther max allowed chain. And so forth untill they have a year of skills for 2 or 3 months of subscriptions. then off to the charachter auctions they go.. Like everything in EVE of late someone will find a way to abuse it. Sad that there seems to be such of culture of cheating in this comunity of late.{maybe cheating too strong...but the rules are pushed to the limits and if it can be taken advantage of its taken advantage of to the extreeme. }
