Take out the 3 Nos stick cheaper modules in and use them as Heatsyncs then overload your blasters. Passive shield tanking guide click here |

This. Also, at least 2 magstabs over some of that tank stuff. Damage is > Tank.

After my second obvservation... the kronos aint worth its salt.
realistically... its fairly uselesls for anything but missions. and several other ships can do them probabily at a similar speed for much less isk value.
if i had to use one, i would set it up similar to:
4x Ion blaster II 2x TS/Diminishing medium nos 1x large 'arup'/'solace' remote rep
1x 100mn mwd II 1x Heavy electrochemical cap booster 1x ECCM 1x Web/Scram (depending on gang fit)
2x SS Lar (cheap as chips) 2x DB EANM 1x Explosive hardner II 1x SS Mag stab. (or t2) 1x Damage control II
2x rep amount rigs
5x Hammerhead/Valkrie II mix or ecm drones. 5x Warrior II
Personal opinion, i would use a vindicator or navy megathron. but as you asked

Have you done some tests on how long you can overheat the guns before they break?

I kinda felt impartial about the kronos during my first flight in it. But then I thought, what if I maximize the fit to exploit all the benefits?
Well, 100% damage bonus to 4 turrets is like 8 turrets, and having 8 Neutron Blasters does fairly well on the DPS side. Not to mention the webifier bonus, a Fleeting Webber is no -99%. Even a vagabond will be up that creek.
But the thing that convinced me to give the Kronos another go, was simply the cargo bay. Seriously, 30 cap booster charges? That's a lot... hard to ignore considering PvP. Slap a Cap Booster on it, slam a couple of reps... fill the cargo bah with cap boosters... pretty nice huh?

Over two minutes almost always. With Thermodynamics V and a little luck you can probably manage three before risking burnout.
The Kronos is quite a bit better than its main competitor, the Hyperion. The Hyperion can't fit a full rack of neutrons plus a dual-rep tank, it has neither the powergrid or the cap. Nor can it effectively overload the rack of guns for +15% damage.

ôHave you done some tests on how long you can overheat the guns before they break?ö Yes and it worked well, only I use it for PvE ,mostly. Just before they break you turn overload off then fix them in space when time allows. Well not just before I normaly wait until there are only two notches left and then turn overload off. Module repair seems to be based on the price of the module so use some cheap civilian modules as your heatsyncs.

True, cant say i can fly one so dont have first hand experience.
the fact that your using energized plates when it has that much cap baffles me, no cheap faction gear too.
the main problem i saw is that your boasting about the neutrons, but if you dont have any mag stabs in the lows, its damage is far from amazing.
It has the bonuses of the megathron and hyperion, so you have to choose gank or tank *in my opinion*. and for its current price, without forking out on nice gear.... i dont see how a gank setup will last long.
also, your current tank + damage is weak, either add a few MFS II, or drop a rig or two and fit tanking rigs.
