What skill books increase the Armor Repper's effectiveness? Let's say a pilot has a T2 Reppers, what training can make it more uber? Thanks. Bellator. Oh, and Happy Holidays to all.

i think only mechanic skill.
also you can only take it so far with skills. try rigs - they can make reps more effective (more rep / cyle) or rep cycle quicker (tho this uses more cap).
alternatively buy better reps.

Edited by: Gladiator Jonny on 23/12/2007 11:51:38 For ones pleasure, one could purchase faction armor repairs as stated above.
The other modules one could use would be the nanobot accelerator, and auxillary nano pumps. These work nicely when using 2 auxillary nano pumps and 1 nanobot accelerator to achieve maximum dps tanked at the expense of ones capacitor.
*Regal wave* Happy Holidays
Edit: One could use hardwiring implants, not sure on the current name. also a slave set would prolong ones armor, allowing you to gain more repair cycles off.

Edited by: Meiyang Lee on 23/12/2007 12:02:14 To my knowledge the only skill that influences armor repair systems is the Repair Systems skill, which decreases the modules' cycle time. (making it rep more often) Other things that enhance the effectiveness of a repper are indeed the 2 armor repair rigs, the Auxiliary Nano Pump (which increases the amount repped per cycle) and the Nanobot Accelerator (which decreases the cycle time) Also several implants can help with repairs. There are implants for repair cycle time and repair amount.
(Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET40/400/4000 increase repair amount) (Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET10/100/1000 decrease cycle time)

Its indirect, but easiest way to make armor reps more effective is higher resists. ( more effective-hp per cycle ) Skill-wise, there is compensation skills if you are using passive platings.
There is also aux nano pump, which at ~10million each are fairly cheap rigs. Those can get pretty crazy on ships with a rep-amount bonus like certain gallente boats.
( a myrmidon with 3x rigs has every MAR2 doing almost LAR2 rep amount )
Hope that helps.

Don't forget heat. Armour reps overload really well, since the damage they take per cycle compared to their hitpoints is pretty minimal.

oh, here's a gem I found: http://www.joonicks.eu/eve/
No, you aren't doing L5s solo. On the test server, a max-skilled CNR pilot with a fully rigged T2 fit with a Basilisk providing logistics support tried a single L5.
He failed three times. This is an experienced pilot flying an already-powerful battleship with a dedicated shield/cap Xfer boat helping to keep him alive.
About 5 pilots minimum to handle an L5 (I've even done a couple... in a gang of 8 or so I was the Augoror cap Xferring people).
EDIT: And yeah, Repair Systems + auxiliary nano pumps + nanobot accelerators + those two implants + (indirectly) resists are the only way to boost armor repper effectiveness. ------------------- I nerfed my own sig To amuse you, here is my Retriever ever since its first Trinity deployment. 20 mil for those IIRC. Just bought two aux nano pumps for my Sacrilege last night for 22mil each. ------------------- ნỊs uʍop əpỊsdn Support the introduction of Blaze M crystals for Amarr! |
