Jingo Matar	Posted - 2007.12.24 03:20:00 - [1] Hey all, I'm pretty new to this game so please bear with me. Here's my question. I received 10,000,000. ISK for no apparent reason. In the transaction log it is listed as a "donation". It just showed up in my account today. It's great and all, and I won't reveal my benefactor's name, but is this something that happens much, or did I just get lucky? I've emailed the person, but have yet to receive a reply. Jingo

Usually not ten million isk though If you ever look into joining certain corps however, beware of certain donations. If you get one from someone who is -10 to the corp you're trying to join, send it back immediately. Pretty much any respectable outfit will demand to see a screenshot of your donations page before and after accepting you, since paid spies have fouled things up for some corps in pretty spectacular ways in the past.

Might even go as to get hold of a GM to confirm the money as legit and not of shady origin. but then again might be a guy/gal with the holiday spirit feeling generous...

And I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are astronomically slim that it's an ISK seller/buyer trying to screw you. If you're at all worried, just file a petition asking about it. And to the faceless sh!tposters; it's TEN MILLION... ie; nothing, if it would have been 100 mil or so then yeah could well be an isk buyer. 10 mil sounds like a gift he had gotten from an older player.
