Ever since I installed the new graphical content, I am now getting the occasional client "freezing." It pauses momentarily, and the sound drops, and then it suddenly goes again. This has only been since the new graphical content came about. I never had a problem with the original client.
I tried it with sound, and just now I tried it with sound off and it froze again. I removed the whole client and performed a clean install, and still it freezes.
I am also noticing that prior to freezing, I get graphical "glitches" where there are flashes and corruption in the screen. Immediately after that it freezes, then things look normal again after it unlocks, only for it to freeze again 5 minutes later.
Anyone have similar issues? As far as I know, all my drivers are up to date.

I have the same issue. My Solution was to revert to the old graphics package, no problems there.

Im having similar problems but mine are a lot worse. There will be some graphical glitches (the entire screen flashes wierd for a sec), then the client freezes the entire computer. generally this happens with in about 5 min of logging in, but in the last few times ive tried its happened before ive managed to log in. Ive tried a clean install of the premium content but it happens while im running both premium and classic, and while i play eve in 'safe mode'
im downloading the classic version now and im gonna try and see if that will fix it, or at least allow me to log in

Well, just to update.
I tried everything, playing with the Bloom and Shadow settings, playing with the cache size, all to no avail. I sadly had to revert back to the classic client and everything is running smoothly now.
It seems to me there are a tonne of issues with nVidia cards and trinity. I've seen a lot of threads where the 8800 series has issues, and now my 7800 is acting up. Is there some problem with nVidia cards and Eve?

Edited by: pipvac on 24/12/2007 17:15:37 I have the same regular freezes. Using WinXP and a 7600GS gfx card. I switched back to classic and the same odd freezes continue but with slightly less severity.
Before the patch I was able to run multiple clients in maxed out settings without issue.
No other gaming software or client has these issues on my machine.

Did you try setting the Cache Size in Display & Graphics to either extreme or off all together? Maybe it helps.

I am having the same problem as well, only I've timed it and found that it freezes exactly once every 60 seconds!?!!? for about 4-5 seconds. Its been running for hours now and its still freezing precisely at the top of each minute. Wacky.
