Edited by: Cassandra Beckinsale on 24/12/2007 14:27:38 Not able to pilot a Golem and my friend is unable to pilot a Paladin yet, but we are every day discussing if a Paladin with 2 Large T2 or Faction repper (full tank setup) can tank a full gank Golem with T2 torpedoes - skill maximized both.
Can some of you pro players enlight us noob pls?

It could, but it wouldn't have any cap left for firing guns though..

Edited by: Cassandra Beckinsale on 24/12/2007 14:32:04 Well, the exact battle is: Paladin FULL TANK (rigs included) vs Golem FULL GANK (rigs included), all faction modules and maximized skills, and pls give to us a detailed answer if you can.
Thanks in advance you pro players and be patience with us uber noobs.

If faction/deadspace modules then its a tie. Both LOLadin and Golem can prolly (with deadspace/officer gear) tank 2-4k DPS, and none of them will dish that much.

I managed to get a golem to do about 1700 dps using estamel kit (overloaded) and gank fit of drones (2 heavy 2 med 1 light),
Paladin with a core tank, no implants tanks about 2.6k dps (4.4k if you overload the tank), so the golem cannot break the paladin's tank, nor can a paladin break a golem's tank, untill one runs out of cap boosters (golem tanks about 3-4k dps without overload with full hg crystals).
that answer your question?

Im pretty sure you can make it perma tank with cap rech's (and maybe odd cpr tho tank gets tad smaller then).

A quick run through EFT got me the following results
TANK (officer fitted, no implants, level 5) GOLEM: 5300DPS PALADIN: 4600DPS
GANK (offficer fitter, no implants, level 5) GOLEM: 1700DPS PALADIN: 1600DPS
So as you can see, neither one can come close to beating the others tank, if they were purely fitted for tank.

With one rep yes. You cant get high res(70% is not a good res for a t2 BS) and a dual rep to "perma" run.

3x chelm EANM, DC, 2x corpum xtype LAR, CPR 4x CR
Perma tank with 80%+ across the board. And thats with dual aux nano pumps, abt 2700dps tanked. So it is possible.

I dont see any of "pvp" letters in 1st post. So assumed theoretical setups just for tank/gank ratio. And if you want to play PVP setups then guess Golem can also run out of cap.

Then youd need to run calcs who will lose injectors 1st. tho due to cap use on weapons for paladin hes prolly doomed to die 1st.
