Practice making bookmarks and using your scanner on dubious gates. I hate the fact that everyone says "lol gbt WoW" because it's kinda dumb, but still, I basically agree with them. Why would you expect to get past five experienced pirates if you've never even had any practice running such a blockade before? You don't like it, so CCP should just make gate camping illegal? I'm a returning rookie, too. But instead of *****ing, I'm going to get in a Kestrel or something, go out to places where people are gatecamping, and practice running them. It may not even be possible to succeed in a weeny frigate, I dunno... but it's worth it to gain the experience, isn't it? ANYwho... less qq, moar pew-pew. Adapt or perish, etc. etc.

I did this successfully several times running modules back to our staging point for the TPAR invasion, if only because I forgot my interceptor elsewhere. An interceptor/dictor, especially if it's rigged for even more speed, can do what it wants with a gate camp of almost any size, unless lag prevents timely commands. The only reason a gate camp escape should be failed with a well fit T2 speed ship is because you misjudge where the closest edge of the bubble is. But I think this thread has to be a troll attempt. I give it 7/10 because of the number of responses.

If you are blue to the campers it is "Yes sir, go ahead sir, that way sir, happy voyage sir" and if you are not blue they want to look in your luggage (and play with it a bit). Given the fact that opening the hood is not really possible in EVE they shoot you and look in your wreck. hey, it works! So gate camps are better avoided. BTW, i saw a guy in a starter-frig jump in AND out a bubbled gatecamp once. Why cant you, meneertje Wiersma? ___________________________________

If you don't like the fact that your foes have the one up on you, grab some buddies, get to the real bread and butter of EVE and fight them so you can get thru the gate. Don't whine about how a team of people coordinating to block your route of passage, are blocking your route of passage. Nothing really lame about gate camping tbh you do know that they are risking ships there right? you can always come with a better or bigger gang and kill them..

Ive done it a few times before too and actualy its not even fun!. waiting for ages until finaly a semi newbee like yours truly steps in to the mouse trap. my idea is that ccp should to something more to be able to counteract warpscrambling. And the whole part about customs is nonsence. i even would be willing to pay for passige but no one ever askked me.. just got scrambled and podded..

Try warping to scan range of a gate first. Or warp to the gate from a nearby planet or moon. You're complaining about the mobile warp disruptors succeeding at their intended purpose! Planing ahead will get you out safely, check starmap, you get all sort of useful information,. average players insystem, player killed/podded recently and so on. Running the gauntlet at peak euro or north america hours....mmm NO! Only passage in a 15 jump radius? it just might be camped. Having a corp/alliance mate or alt to scout? flying a shuttle cheap frig to scout yourself? Using this standard issued module can get you busting/avoiding campgates with a character created 15 minutes ago.

Take the other day, I was flying through some back sectors of the southern region in a CovOps Frigate and ran into one of these. Admitedly my first reaction was "hmmm, why is the screen displaying the funny pattern" because I've been out of game for a few months, but then as I realised what was happening, my self preservation kicked in, hit the MWD and boosted out of the bubble in time to break out of sensor distance, hit warp and cloaked. It's not impossible to break free of those things, hard but not impossible, even for someone who was kinda unprepared for the camp. ************************************************ Wohoo!
