CCP should reward people for sticking with the game. Im fairly sure other MMO give out rewards or something akin to that for loyalty. Im sure CCP could do the same.
Personally, i think a good reward would be for every year that you suscribe to EvE Online, you should get and extra 5 attribute points that you can allocate acoordingly. For example, customer Smith created his account on 06/02/2004... every 06/02/2xxx a screen will pop up when you log into a character and let you add to your base attribute points.
I can only imagine with the as the game goes on more and more advanced skills will be coming out that will require ever increasing amounts of time to train. And this yearly "bonus" would help a good deal with ever increasing skill training times.
What are your thoughts/ things you might change to the idea???

It's not loyalty, it's called dependence and the right thing to do is abuse it as CCP is currently.

Introduce a CCP LP store. Fill it with CCP-faction gear, like snowball launchers, drones that shoot sparkles and turrets that beam various flavors of "carebear stare". Award this LP over time, or for participation in roleplaying events.

My thoughts are that it sounds suspiciously like a way for the veterans to get more advantages over newer players and maintain the 'in since beta' crowd's superiority complex.

Bad idea. I hate it... being with the game for a long time means you have more SP, more ISK and more political clout in the game. That's what you get, if you don't have that you're a failure at EVE-Life... jump of the jump bridge, you are made of fail. RickRoll Avoidance Trolling EVE Knowledge |

Other games like UO rewarded vets for their continued subscription, I don't see why CCP should not. I would not support things like attribute point gifts and the like, but I would support things that are generally useless but cool. Maybe special markings on their ships, veteran-only attire in ambulation, snowballs or whatever. I'd settle for a free t-shirt tbfh.

If they were to do these rules I think the best would be a yearly SP boost. First year they give you 100,000 "instant" SP points, second year 250,000, third year, 500,000, fourth year, 1,000,000, firth 2,500,000... etc. It's useful, and it gives players that boost which loyalty is supposed to give.

Why not instead give them say, a months free EVE subscription when you've been with the game longer than a year and a nice poster/keyring when you've been with them 3 years... it makes just as much sense. Stop fishing for gifts from CCP to further increase the gap between the vets and newbies, you've been with the game long enough to know you have to work for everything you get in EVE. Now stop trying for an easy way of getting what you want, when a newbie tries it you all just scream "GB2WOW" and jerk eachother off in your elitism, yeah, well maybe you should... Go Back To Ultima Online!
The bloody "been here since beta" clan attitude in EVE is irritating, you're no better at the game than anyone else, you just have more SP and an ego that could do with deflating.

...only counting continuous subscriptions ...starting with the last activation (first payment ever, or first payment after inactivity) ...obviously connected to account not character
ps: wonder how many accounts would qualify for a poster/keyring

I personally would like an exclusive poster or keyring, it would give people a nice little gift from CCP, shows that they appreciate all this time we've stuck by them without CCP having to give all the vets "stuff 'n things to pwn teh n00bz0rz wiv" in game and unbalancing everything.

I agree with Scatim Helicon. If you want to create a reward cool. but dont' give one that tips the favor of the game to a nich group of players.
maybe instead give a discount reward. 1% a percent off for each year u play up to a max of 10% off theres a nice reward to keep consistant customers . Dasfry, CEO Demios Corporation

Yes that actually makes a little more sense that my initial idea. And for the record I have been playing less than a month so cut me some slack. :)

I personally like the free month of subscription idea.
1st year: 1 free month 2nd year: 2 free months 3rd year: 3 free months 4th year: 3 free months 5th year: 3 free months
Also the idea of getting special markings on your ships, or a special uniform in ambulation would be cool, and wouldn't give older players an advantage in the game. -------- Sign this petition to save EVE TV |

the whole extra atribute points is not going to happen.. however rewarding in free months is actualy quite possible. but rewarding a player in free atribute points will further space the newbes from the vets and that is not something anynone would do in this way.. sure adding more expencive skills is valid but giving long term players a permanent 5+ atribute bonus per year is not just a valid possibility..
but the whole 1 free month per year i can actualy say would be a positive thing for newbes and vets not to mension improve eve's marketing value as positive promoting making it possible to get more people to play eve..
so in short i say scrap the extra atributes and add 1 free month/year.

One thing they COULD do would be some in-game bling-bling to put on our chars. It wouldn't matter for **** SP wise, just looks nice. Maybe a custom pair of glasses or earrings (yarrr) for our chars portraits.
There's only one sig that matters... and that's Radius. |

I assumed most vets would have enough SP to rack up enough ISK to buy a 90 day GTC in a fairly short time.

If people really wanted an in game reward they could possibly get unique ship variants. Basically they choose a ship and they get a new paint job or logo on it if they've been in the game for more than 2 years... but that would be a little harder to implement.
I personally think free months or discounts to EVE events and EVE merchendise would be the best reward. My only regret is that I have been playing this character less than a year. My old account would have been a little over 2 years old.

Would still be nice to save the price of 1 x 30day GTC in the first year (200mil) and 2 x 30day GTC in the second year (400mil) and 1 x 90day GTC in the 3rd year onwards (480mil)
That means after being in the game for 3 years you have enough to buy another carrier and some of it's fittings. Not tha much to a 3 year old char, but it's still a nice gift.
Could be the game time + a fancy item to have with your char in ambulation? -------- Sign this petition to save EVE TV |
