Buy a cheap ship (Rifter). Fly it to lowsec. Practice PvP on anyone you see.
You'll get better at PvP, possibly attract corp attention, and get an idea of whether or not you really want to do piracy.

Small frig, t1 gear, and balls of steel is what every young pirate needs to get going(the balls are there for when you try and take bigger things like cruisers and the like)
Also dont engage on gates or stations as there are sentries and youll be 'sploded in a frig -=YYYAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!=-

Look me up, I'll give you some tips.
Stay out of amamake, use a rifter, and learn when and what to run away from. stay away from stations/gates, and the faster you learn that buddies = fun, the faster you'll be successful. www.the-bastards.com |

this is good advice, but if you itching to see what it's like just go to belt 3-1 (2mins tops) you won't be dissapointed.
plus side to being in a rifter is you most likely will not get ganked.
also get some friends to fly with as others have said, solo piracy is vary hard now days. also get into as many fights as you can while flying cheaper frigs and cruisers, that way when you start flyinf more expensive ships you will be that much more expirienced and won't lose as many.
hope that helps

Thats the best advice anyone can give you. whatever PVP your getting started in, FLY CHEAP!!! your gonna loose stuff so dont make your learning more expensive than it has to be. T1 everything. dont even splash out on named stuff. Go out in a rifter to start with then maybe try things out in a thorax or a stabber or something. Shoot everyone you can and have FUN!!
Try jumping in a fast frig, setting course for deep 0.0 and dont come back till your podded. its a good laugh and yor garenteed alot of fights. unfortunatly, low sec is very hard to pirate in these days.
get a few mates together and start a corp. just 3 or 4 of you, or even on ur own, and go War Dec a couple of corps in empire.
Just remember to only fly what you can afford to loose. Have fun. Be respectful to those you kill and those that kill you.
say Yarr alot in local

this is also really great advice....alot of good pirate corps have a "no smack" policy...alot of our members stemmed from fights in which they liked our attitudes...tactics help to but...another story
you'll go further in EVE being repsectful....

again, good words from Arekhon. some of my best friends and greatest gang mates are guys I have pirated or have had a fight with me. Half of being a pirate is reputation. respect other players and almost always they will respect you. Another important thing to point out is, never break your word. If you ransom some one, and then blow them after they pay, people will hear. eventualy no one will pay your ransoms because they know not to trust you. This will also get you in trouble with other pirates as its a big income for alot of people. If you give the trade a bad name, there gonna come after you.
