Implants at now are a game killing factor. Let me explain. Everyone and his dog now has a implant (agent missions). Especially newer ppl. After one to 2 month, all action you can have in high empire space gets booring. But many ppl fear to go to 0.0 space.... Also smaller corps who try to get into 0.0 but , as all know, dying there can happen. If you just could reduce the too big entrance fee (you will die) to 0.0.
The ships at now, you can insure nice (12 weeks). The stuff, just dont take expensive stuff to 0.0 if you are a 0.0 noob. ok. But the implants, you gathered at carebear empire phase hurt. So people continue to dooze of at mining plagio with their Apo or mega.......
(its not me , who doozes off at plagio *g* )

Thats tough luck. You have all the benefits from the implant and now want to remove the risk from losing it??
Implants give a signifcant advantage in that they let players train faster, the downside is there is a risk of losing them through a pod kill (its called balance), get it.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |

Thing is that it does remove the risk. Ship insurance is by default 40% now, so those of us mining in 0.0 have little cost as it is to lose a ship. Add the fact that mining arkanor and bistot in the 100's of millions of isk and it quickly makes even losing implants a small cost. I know as well that members in my corp don't just go an buy a whole set of implants for their character they only buy what they need to up a low skill, if your memory is already at 18 why get an implant? is it worth the risk? The current system is fine, i even think with the current insurance default that the risk of coming to 0.0 is almost no-existant. Thing is in this game you'll die, you'll lose ships, i almost would recommend that people pod themselves when they start the game so they can see how much of a non-issue it really is and then they won't be so afraid.

Implants are only a game killer if you let that mental block form. Eve is ment to be full of risks its what makes the game fun. I totally agree with Rawne Karrde podding is really a non issue though too many folk seem to see it as the end of the world.
I would like to see some way to retrieve implants from corpses though. It could be balanced by the implant loosing 1 point of effectiveness each time it was removed until it reached 0 and was removed from the pool.
