Edited by: Morning Maniac on 23/03/2004 23:05:03 EVE University is a player corporation created to educate new players into the ways of EVE. Our teachers are experienced players who are willing to spend some of their time to share their love for the game.
We aim to give you a broad experience of the game, incl. mining, trading, manufacturing, NPC hunting and player vs player combat. You are not forced to do everything but we offer you the option to do so under the guidance of experienced players, learn from our mistakes .
We also plan to have lots of events and we are thinking on developing some kind of sport/game so we can have competitions, next to the frigate tournaments obviously.
We help you with advice and getting your first ships. After 6 weeks you graduate and hopefully have an idea which carreer(s) you want to persue.
In the ingame browser go to http://eve-university.cjb.net/
Or join the ingame chat channel "EVE University" (go to the channels button on the left, then click "new channel and type: EVE University ) MM Channel "EVE University" www.eve-university.cjb.net (ingame) EVE University commercial |

Hi, I have a few suggestions for games/contests for your new players. A grand prix around say 15/20 systems with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. A treasure hunt complete with treasure map so to speak. Find the player .... or hide and seek as it's better known.
Okay, so you've prolly thought of all of these before but I thought I'd share.

How do other corps go about donating unwanted items to your corp? Been trying to look you up in-game but as yet no luck. If you could be so kind as to say how to go about this then I can go about doing this in the future

You can leave them on escrow in a somewhat accessable location and evemail me about it. That works. We talked already but just wanted to make sure for others. You're also welcome to join EVE Universty channel to answer questions. Do send me an evemail about what you want on our sponsors section. Ingame browser www.eve-university.cjb.net

This is welcome news. I am a new player. I am a dreaded Free Trial player who is in dire need of a change of pace in my MMO playing.
I have been stumbling around with the tutorial missions (finished all the Imperial Academy courier missions) but I need direction. Eve seems to have a lot of variables and without direction those variables are overwhelming. "What do I train, how do I buy a new ship, which ship should I buy, what equipment should I get, whats a good way to make money etc etc etc.
It sounds to me like you folks have just what I need. I really want to give Eve a fair chance to become my MMO of choice but so far its going the route of Horizons which offered me little to no direction on what to do, where to go etc. Say what you will about killing rats in the newbie yard on EQ but the simplicity is very user and newbie friendly.
I will be sure to look you all up tonight when I am on and maybe you will provide the direction I need to fully appreciate all that Eve has to offer.

I'll hop over, what was that channel again ?
Do you mind me recruiting there ?
No seriously, i wont actively recruit, but im not about to leave my corp to join the university either. I do like helping out new players alot tho, so i will be availiable to answer questions and dish out the occasional escrow with some basic mods.
btw, do you plan to make this corp into a succesfull production corp or will you focus only on training and new members ?
Cause if your gonna try to keep this corp together we would have kind of a competition problem here _______________________________________________
Yes yes, blogging is passÚ I know. Rod's Ramblingz on Eve-Online Solutions to your issues. |

Check the site We have a code of conduct for our channel, which is moderated too.
We have lots of helpers from outside the corp.
New players are supposed to stay for 6 weeks, then they will graduate. Maybe a few will stay as teachers but not many. It's not the goal to turn it into a production corp. We only produce for our current and future members. MM Channel "EVE University" www.eve-university.cjb.net (ingame) EVE University commercial |

Hello Morning Maniac
If you need a teacher for Mission / Agentsystem I¦d gladly jump in and help some newbies get on their feet if they would like to move that way ..
Lifeline Solutions is focused on Agents / Missions and we are looking for new players so I think doing some lessons for your University might create a nice win - win situation for both of us
please drop me a mail ingame or convo me if you are interested in my help

Hi, I signed up a few days ago. When are classes usually scheduled? Where can I find out about them? I visited the website and the only event I found was a "Capture-The-Flag" game last Sunday. I'm curious to learn about a variety of things, such as group mining, item manufacturing for $$$, and PvP combat.
