I agree with your sentiments but in this case, in that environment, I think it's just extremist violence case #303004305. If it happened to anyone else, anywhere else I might entertain ideas of it being the CIA.

Well of course they support some politics with they left hand and kill the same politics with their right one. They've been doing it for ages. They don't need stability, the more middle-hot conflicts, the better. That's the essense of "divide and conquer", you should've been learnt it in middle school.
Actually the US wants stability there. This only aids Iran and I would wager they are ultimately behind it. Iran looks to be the regional power once they get the US out. They will then co-opt Iraq, Afghanistan and quite possibly Pakistan if things fall apart there (Iran does not like a nuclear armed country on its doorstep). From there Iran will be in a far better position to influence the rest of the Middle East and may well gain hegemony from Africa to India.

What can I say... You're really shortsighed (don't take this as an offence).
Just ask yourself, why they would need stability in a state near 2 huge countries - China and India - with rapidly growing economics? Of course, USA/GB would benefit from stability here, but wouldn't they have much-muuuch more benefits from _instability_?
Have a nice night, and dream about nukes...

An undertaking like that for a westen governemnt is far too risky, as they are free countries where information WILL eventually get out. It is a risk no western government would take. and i dont need a lecture on what divide and conquer means, thanks, i know that much. i just dont believe that the wetern powers are interested in either dividing or conquering there (well, they already have, but that was not the intention, even if it was the result)

ally? Pakistan has been funding the Taliban and Al Quaeda for the past few deacdes, they are only an "Ally" for political, not practical issues. Information will get out, as it got out about British Empire deeds, but who the hell will caress about it 50 or 100 years later? People will just admire finesse and cunning of that act, that's all.
So. I understand your feelings very well. You defend your nation, that's the duty of every patriot. If I was a citizen of these countries I would probably say the same. Happy me, I don't, so I'm not blinded by patriotic feelings in that case.

Britain doesn't have allies, it has interests (c). Or something like.

Well, I might as well ask about proof of that they didn't do it... But it will be pointless, as there won't be any proof of this in foreseeble future. We're not in court anyway for calls for "proof". You might call it "mathematical induction proof" if you want so, if you know what I mean.

Watergate scandal was called "tinfoil hattery" and "conspiracy" too in the beginning. So don't use such words if you don't know for sure, you'll very well might get ashamed later.

There is no such thing as blood, it is imagined by patriots trying to enforce a sense of patriotism in their nationas.

Where did I said that it is "pure and uncorrupted"? Or only "pure and uncorrupted" have right to point on dirty and corrupted ones?
Well, if you really want it... I'm from Russia. We (well, me) don't like neither "Bhutto" nor "Musharraf" (or whatever their names), nor USA/GB and, to be honest, nor abovementioned Iran too. Not that we really care tbh. So I'm pretty independent in my views from both patriotic feelings or other lofty ideals in this case.

Nope, I'm not hypocritical. My country doesn't have much interest in Pakistan, and it doesn't messed into politics of that country like US/GB. So in spite of my patriotism it just not applicable to that case, as there's no thing to apply it to. You know, as we used to say, "both are worse".

Reading over it, it seems to me that the best we (EU/USA/NATO) can do for now is be ready for the worst, keep watching with a sharp eye and try to make it that our fears are simply fears.
In a worst case scenario, I suppose India may advance on Kashmir, China starts it's advance soon after and it snowballs into a nuclear WW3 with NATO on the sidelines as these 3 powers struggle. I don't have much knowlege on the subject but as far as I know these 3 want to settle old grudges and secure resources the others have, point in context Pakistan wants water from a river India now soaks up before it get's to Pakistan for industrial reasons.

You do realise that setting off a nuke anywhere in the world has environmental effects on the rest of it? a nuclear war would mean that global warming would speed up by an insane degree maybe even just melt the icecaps in itself as well as irradiating most of the world and sending dust clouds all over the planet and blocking out sunlight etc...also China is holding up the US economy atm by buying up its mineral wealth. Stop listening to damn conspiracy theorists because it tickles your fancies and start looking at some facts..."Divide and conquer" by an Assosciated press writer is not evidence to support your claim...its called making a good story.

Since this is a hot political issue, I invite anyone wanting to discuss this issue to TTI's forum. There issues concerning opinions of Bhutto, speculations on what the result of the assasination will be, and on who is behind the assasination, can be discussed. I hope the moderators have nothing against this invitation.
