Ok, I'll admit this: I disliked the office, I wasn't a fan of extra's.... but just sat down and watched the extra's christmas special and loved it. Brilliant show, made me want to go back and watch the rest all over again.
Gervais' diatribe against celebrity, absolutely brilliant. The guy has it bang on, completely, even if he is celebrity himself. Rounded it off so well... if only people would actually bother taking note.

Yeh it was brilliant. Best TV I've seen in ages, he nailed the ending.

Possibly the best 'Comedy' TV of the year, although Extras transcends comedy.
Certainly the best Christmas special since.. well... The Office.

I never really liked the office or extra's, cos I just couldn't watch gervais make a tit of himself so much, I can't deal with other peoples embarassment lol, but he is greeeaaat at standup, hilarious feller.

He's gotten alot of flak lately about his attitude. Mainly because he keeps getting awards and then boasting about all his other awards. Thing is though its all part of the persona. The times when hes actually sat down and had a real interview with someone he has been extremely frank about his bewilderment at the fuss he gets.
That episode was top class and the speech nailed what has become of modern society and celebrity.
