So, now that I'm playing EVE again, I revived my BlackBerry EVE app, ported it to the new API, and added some other goodies. Detailed info and download is at http://vlad.off.net/eve/EveBerry.
Quick feature list:
- Supports any number of characters
- View skill training progress & ISK balance
- Market Orders
Future stuff:
See the web page for some ideas, or post here with other requests.
Requires:
BlackBerry running OS 4.1 or newer. Only really been tested on my 8300, but should work on other devices.
Obligatory Screenshot:
Still got plans for lots of changes, but let me know if this works/doesn't work for any bb users out there. Reply here with problems/suggestions.

I have tried this and I can not seem to get it to grab my account info. I have a blackberry pearl and I can install the app, adjust settings and then I try to add the char. and it gives me a "error logging in! (Check uid/key!)" I am using the correct API for my account and I have tried using the proxy with no such luck.
Any help would be great as this is a great idea / app once I can get it working.

BB Pearl 8100:
"fetch characters" does not "link" to anything, it just says "copy" or "full menu" when clicking it.
After finding that "enter" would work... poff, nothing. "error logging in", but there's no data transfer.

2.4 Seems to have the same issue on the BB Pearl 8100. If you have any testing that you need done I would be more than happy to help out and give feedback. Look forward to the next revision.

Hmm. Two or so days ago the API server was up/down, but that got resolved. I need to get a new version out that has better diagnostics, i'll try to do that in the next week or so.

OK! Just pushed out 0.2.5 which should hopefully fix things. There was an embarrassing bug in previous versions which caused them to just not work at all unless you were using a proxy (it wasn't prefixing the URL with the standard EVE API URL, whoops!). A handful of other changes also in 0.2.5, including a revised add character screen that should hopefully make a lot more sense.

Works Great, though there is no "save" or "continue" button after I set up my Char. I just hit the back button and it worked.

Great app, loaded up and runs great on my 8830.
The only issue I have is the black bar to highlight characters blends with the text so I jsut end up seeing the portrait and a silver square. Can this be changed to either reverse the colors (text becomes white maybe?) or have the colors user customisable.
I have 2 future enhancement suggestions as well.
Does the api allow for contract viewing? I do a lot of business by contracts and it would be great to be able to see that.
Is there any plans to allow corp / individual wallet tracking as well in future versions?

0.2.5 works great on an 8703e.
Very nice.
Will there be an optional vibrate buzzer when skill training completes? :)

Great app, been looking for a while for a decent training app that'll run on a Blackberry, and its running fine on my 8707 (which is a good sign as some apps can be picky about the slightly different processor used for the 3G on this model) and on my work/Eve-mate's 8800, both with version 0.2.5.
For future features, might be good if you could pull a bit more info out of the limited API.
I've only added my chars with their limited access API, rather than the full API key, so obviously I'm not expecting the full market data etc, but other apps like EVEmon do manage to get some details that you're only showing with a full API key, like the current ISK balance. Also, although its not hugely useful, but does give a way to judge milestones, might be good to be able to see your current skillpoint total?

I would suggest that the Skill name gets its own line, as the 8100's display is far thinner than the 8300's, and skills get the percentage bar on top of them.

1. I'm not seeing my wallet info because of my font size; I'm just getting Char name, Skill in training, end date. My system font is BBCasual, 8, bold. If I change the font to something small then it's visible but I'd rather leave my system font as it was. If adding font controls is difficult then allow me to hide the character name; I'll be able to tell from the acct balance. Mine is a C-rackberry 8310. (silly word filter... my wall has a ***** in it)
2. Sort order of characters. Any chance we can manually sort - my main characters are alphabetically challenged.
3. Will updates require entering the entire API key again?
4. "Eve API failure (117); Market orders already downloaded; retry after 2008-01-08 08:53:04" but I'm using your proxy... and checking http://myeve.eve-online.com/api/log.asp I see that requests are coming via your proxy (66.96.26.168)

Yeah, I've been thinking about this. I'll probably bite the bullet and add proper font selection and selection of exactly what lines you want to see.

On my to-do list. What's worse is that it isn't even alphabetical order, it's "how it comes out of the hashtable" order (read: lazy  )
Both this and the previous thing will probably take me a week or so, as I've got a bunch of stuff going on at work.. so between that and pew pew not a lot of time to work on EveBerry :)

Nope, not unless I have to make some drastic changes to the stored data format, which I don't foresee. (I ended up just emailing my API keys to myself then storing them in a note, so that I can just copy paste fwiw)

Your character portrait isn't showing here on the forums yet either, which probably means you're a fairly new character? No more than a month or two old? CCP seem to always have a few weeks delay between you creating a character and its portrait being on the web. You almost certainly won't see it on your Blackberry until you can see it here on the forums.
On the ISK amount, have you put in your Limited Access API key, or your Full Access API Key (only shows after you click the confirmation button in the second box onhttp://myeve.eve-online.com/api/ ). EveBerry seems to only show your ISK total if you use the full API key at the moment.
