I've looked around this site and others but I can't seem to find suggested POS layouts (similar to the ship fittings I can find almost everywhere) :)
I'm looking at building a POS for research and am trying to determine skills/costs needed so if anyone has some suggestions as to POS setups can you post them here, so that those of us trying to determine what we need have the community resources to review :)
Some of the questions that I hope this answers:
1) How large of a tower do I need in High-sec, low-sec, 0.0 for specific types of POS's?
2) Do I need guns or other protection modules in high-sec?
3) What racial tower is best for research, ship construction, 0.0 base?
Thanks in advance folks, I'm hoping this can become a valuable resource for everyone (and if they exist somewhere already , can someone post the link ...) :)

Every hump flies ships, so naturally there is more info on them ;)
POS is for older children.. so there's less information.
Tee guides in the stikies contain the basics.

- How much research? Which Sec Status? Which kind of Research? You alone or your Corp-Mates too? ... see, that's why there's no cookie-cutter-setup.

I would consider to anchor as much as the pos can keep running, when everyting else is shut down.. costs are just a /10 compared to rest of modules like labs or tower..

Depends on you. Do you want to haul the isotopes or do you want to mine them at spot. Do you need X Amount of CPU or PG at any cost or not. Do you like the style of some race or not. Do you want some advanteages at some resists/bonuses or not. Aso..

Well... the stikies are at the top of the forums. Everything else needs more input from your side..

I can vouch for MyPOS, really handy program that I use all the time, not just for fitting but for fuel calculations.
