For those of you that use Projectile Weapons...
I did a little number crunching and came up with this info. Tell me what you think.
First off, Sansha's resists (on their BS's) are the same for their shield and armor. A Sansha's Lord (500k) is 40/70/60/50. A Sansha's Tyrant (1850k) has 49/79/69/59. I am sure you can see the pattern.
I was originally told to use EMP on Sansha. Recently, on these boards, I was told to use Phased Plasma. Unsure, I crunched the numbers...
EMP M does EM/EX/KI/TH 10/8/4/0 = 22 (EMP S does 5/4/2/0, EMP L does 20/16/8/0 - There's a pattern that means the overall data applies to both S, and L sized ammo.)
Taking into account a Sansha's Tyrant (noted above), this reduces the EMP M to 5.1/1.68/1.24/0 = 8.02
Phased Plasma does 0/0/4/16 = 20 Again, taking into account a Sansha's Tyrant, this reduces the Phased Plasma M to 0/0/1.24/6.56 = 7.8
All the others are MUCH lower. I'll list the adjusted totals for a Tyrant.
Fusion M = 4.6
Titanium Sabot M = 4.98
Proton M = 5.54
Depleted Uranium M = 4.76
Carbonized Lead = 3.12
Nuclear M = 3.34
I figured the T2 ammo would beat the rest, right? Not true. It's a sad waste of ISK vs. Sansha.
Hail M = 6.48
Barrage M = 5.62
Now, the only advantage I can see from using something other than EMP is for the range boost. However, if you are using Autocannons distance is irrelevant...

you mean optimal range is irrelevant? cause distance certainly is :p
anyway basicly PP or EMP against sansha(EMP better but difference not that big). seeing ammo size difference isnt that big either I'm guessing reload doesnt change much

I see where you went wrong did you look at the damage types T2 ammo does?

Of course I did. They both only do EX\KI. Hail M is 22/6 and Barrage M is 12/10. Even then, if Hail did a few more points of either, it would then be comparable with EMP and Phased Plasma. Now if I were fighting Guristas or Angel...

Your results look correct. I think people would use PP against Sansha because they're using artillery.
