I'm trying to download the client on a laptop. The min requirements are good (1gb ram, 1.6ghz etc). I get this message after I've downloaded and I'm trying to open the installer:
NSIS Error
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
It maye be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).
Anyway, I know the error message tells me what is probubly wrong but I have no reason to believe there is a damaged disk or a virus on this computer. Anyone help? Thanks.

O man i most sertenly HATE this so many have this problem (including me one time) and i don't know how to fix this I deleted my username and just destroyed my computer to get it working Becouse i had some old eve thingy from before but still not the full game i think that was stopping that thing from working so i just deleted everything and i just got a clear computer with a new username and almost everything new and wholah, but i don't think this would help you and it's confusing why i did that but i got it to work. But try searching for other threats like theese, search for NSIS Error for example just so you can find more answers than you will get down here -------------------- Check out THIS EVE video i found It toally rocks

Looks like you got some corruption in a few of the data packets, where did the download the client from? did you use any download programs? if not was it IE (version?) or Firefox? (version?)
Have you tried downloading on another computer and transfering a copy of the install file via USB key/CD to the laptop?

I dontloaded the client from eve-online.com site. I was using IE v 7.0 I downloaded it on my desktop maybe 2 weeks ago and it worked fine but right now I'm away and only have my laptop.
