Meh, wanted to see Immanuel Kant higher up, let's rig the test, harr harr. I had a teacher once that was in Sartre's "gang". Based on his lectures on Sartre, he sounded like a nice guy.

While I personally loath the philosphy of Nietzsche, those that link him to the Na-zis are also in error.
Nietzsche was very much a creature of his time. You can find both the virtues and the flaws of 19th century thinking in his work. The Na-zis simply took the parts they liked and ran with them.
While I'm a fanatic about the importance of Free Will, and agree whole heartedly about the potential power of Will, my difference with Nietzsche is on underlying morality. He said there is none. Not only no God, but absolutely nothing. If thats the truth, it has no value in knowing it. No value at all.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

I didn't even understand most of the choosable answers, but I'm sure they are all very, very, very, very relevant to me, society and the development of the species, I mean, look how far we have come after just 2 million years of evolution, and 5000 years of civilisation.
Good thing everybody contributed so much. Give all your selves a pat on the back, we humans are so neat! --

I have to say...I can live with it. John Stuart Mills, while not a perfect match for my views, is fairly obvious is regards to my libertarian leanings and focus on rationality over emotionalism. Not so sure on the Kant, though, but I haven't studied his writings in any detail, so...
