hmm i heard that damps have a chance to hit when there out of optimal, is this true?

As far as i know - ECM is a chance based stuff,while dampeners, if you are within range, work. ---

From what I understand, past optimal they are just weaker. At Optimal + falloff, they work at 50%.
I could be wrong, though.

No.
You have completely misquoted that guide, and you clearly havent used damps/td/tp whatever. When you go past optimal, your % effectiveness (eg. how much you reduce a targets lock range) is not changed. Your hit chance, however, is reduced - similar to how falloff works with turrets. At 1x falloff, you will be at 50% hit chance. Your damps will "miss" half the time. However, when a damp does "hit", it will reduce the target's lock range or scan res (depends on script) by the full amount. One of your two rotating signatures exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes - Devil ([email protected]) |
