Ok i have a freigther and a corp mate just told that the best way to use it for trading is to trade slaves.I've looked around and not found information or guide to do this. Can anyone explain me how this is profitable?I've looked on the market to see quantity and 20day moving average price and i've seen: 1.Sellers sell 1-2k max at very big price- 10k-14k each unit 2.Buyers buy very low-10-140isk 3.I've noticed that before 5days(checking the 10days price) the prices were around 5k each slave.
My questions are: 1.What is the time limit for price to reset back to 5k. 2.Where can i buy/sell them in large amounts.

It's possible he has a regular industrial and is calling it a freighter. What is the name of the type of ship you're flying?
As for slaves, they can be profitable but trying to smuggle them past customs when you're not in Amarr space is more trouble than it's worth, IMO. ----- My in Eve Profile My BattleClinic Page |

For every action, there are consequences. Just sayin'.
_______
It can be pretty difficult to work the NPC market trades, as too many pilots have already maximised the routes and timings. I tried it for a while, then went back to what works; moving player-made items & regional rat-droppings to other regions where they are difficult to find.
Setting up shop /transporting goods next to war-zones can also turn a nice profit.
For specific answers to your 2 Q's, you might want to check out the Market forum. I doubt anyone will tell you what to buy (and where & when), since that would be cutting their own throat, in a manner of speaking, but you ought to get a handle on how the NPC trade-goods market works, and take it from there.

Specifically, how *does* one smuggle slaves past a non amarr customs check?

You have to practice saying "These are not the slaves you're looking for..."

Just wanted to check that you realize the market only reflects a single region, the one you are currently in to be specific. Typically the best trade routes for NPC goods are between regions because they are not easy to check prices on and therefore fewer people do it leaving those tidy profits waiting for those with the patience to do some research.
My advice is to head to Tash Murkon Prime or Ammar and look at the maps. You'll find you can easily price check 3-4 different regions by only making around 5 or 6 jumps maybe less.

Edited by: Letouk Mernel on 03/01/2008 19:39:17 Your corpmate might be trying to trick you into losing your "freighter" or a good portion of your cash to the customs agents.
After you read your trading tutorials, try to find tutorials about how to move illegal goods; certain factions have deemed certain things "illegal" (slaves, small arms, drugs) and the customs agents at each gate will confiscate them (or worse) if they catch you.
If you really have a freighter and not a smaller transport ship, also go read the Crime and Punishment forums and look for tutorials or advice on how to NOT lose your freighter because you carried a lot of valuable stuff around without defenders / scouts to help you out.
And, finally, good luck to you. Your character name here is the same as in-game, and you look like an easy target with good profit returns, especially if you undock that freighter now, and it's a simple matter for a PvP-oriented person or gang of a few people to use locator agents to see where you are, and come relieve you of that ship for quick fun and maybe a nice profitable bundle of loot. Thanks for posting.

In other words do not undock in that freighter anytime soon unless you are itching to loose it. I do not think I would even leave with an armed escort unless it was made up of childhood friends that have been ingame for years.
Then again that is my opinion and we all know what opinions are like.
