My understanding is that neither Core Defence Field Extenders nor Core Defence Field Purgers have a stacking nerf. In that case, for solo PvE on a Raven what is the best combination? Should one just go for maximum long-term sustainability (CDF purgers)? Or maximum shield strength (CDF extenders)? How about a combination of the two?
(I can equip a t2 shield booster and t2 amp, but cannot afford a good faction booster, if that makes a difference.) ____________________________________

You would fit neither one on a PVE raven. You would fit CCC's on a PVE raven. ;-)
I should explain myself... that was a bit abrupt. It's really not possible to effectively passive tank a T1 battleship, so you're left with active tanking. Therefore you would use CCC's or Cap Sa***uards and Op Solidifiers if you want a cap booster.

Use 3 Capacitor Control Circuits, the cap boost will help enormously. ------------------- I nerfed my own sig To amuse you, here is my Retriever ever since its first Trinity deployment. RIP. * * * * ** * * * ** * * * * * *** * ** ** |

Edited by: Pottsey on 02/01/2008 11:07:29 For PvP Core Defence Field Extenders with shield extenderds and PDS make a very nice hitpoint based tank. You can get a crasy amount of hitpoints and in some ways its better then a shield booster and CCC rigs. For PvE you want purgers but a active tank will be better.
