I sometimes use Eve via a network that does not allow me direct access to the internet - I have to ssh out and make a few tunnels etc... this means IGB does not work - no problem.
However, I recently did some hauling in empire and each jump was taking FOREVER at gates. When I got close to gate, the client would lock for 30 seconds. When I jumped the client would lock for 30 seconds. It was very tedious.
I ran logserver on it today to see if I could figure out wtf is going on (as the issue has only been occuring since trin patch) and it looks like the Billboards are loading dynamic content from a http :( - and the lookup does not look to be async. Thus client locks up until getaddrinfo() times out (30 seconds later).

Please can you explain how I can turn this feature off ? or force the IGB and dynamic jpg loader to use a specific http proxy ?

Oooo fixed my own problem :) woot
notepad runeve.bat in eve directory :
@echo off
set http_proxy=http://1.2.3.4:56/
eve.exe /server:localhost:26000
http proxy server running on 1.2.3.4 port 56. Previously setup ssh tunnel on localhsot:26000 to point to TQ
Superb.

good work mate! now to those of us that have nfi what to do with that can u go into 4th grade english and tell me how to do it too?and is that for vista?

I love ya mate :D Only one think: Can anyone say me what I have to do when im not tunneling?
I have these lag problem too but only in Empire Space so it would make sense if there is an issue with the KB...
help me pls :)

Any way to just shut them down, and decrease network traffic some more? Because In four years I think I may have looked at one billboard once. Less to transfer = Less Lag
