Edited by: James McGowen on 18/03/2004 23:51:47 Ok, so, I turn my mwd online. It was offline. Yeah, it takes alot of my cap down, oh well. I had just forgoten to turn it on in station.
Now-
I have to turn it on again at the next jump gate?!
And the next...
Obviously, it is reseting to the condition it was in when I undocked...?
Edit: it gives me the option to turn it Offline, not on, yet when I try and use it it tells me "You need 95% cap blah blah" ----------------------------------------

Urm, i kinda think that this may be important.. it seems like a large bug in the new "bring online" system...

Got the same problem with my indy, except the abs were offline when they were online in station, and keep going offline every jump, this bites. "I Live in my OWN LITTLE WORLD....but its okay, they know me HERE!"

It gets better:
I refit my cruiser for combat, all med slot modules show online. During combat, I try to engage the shield booster only to be told that I can't bring the module online since I don't have 95% cap.
So I dock and check again - sure enough, the bloody thing shows as online.

If you are getting this bug, please do the following:
Take a screenshot of the modules when you are in-space before the jump (so I can see what is online). Take a screenshot of the modules when you are in-space after the jump (so I can see what is offline). Take a screenshot of the modules in the station fitting (you can skip this if its too much out of your way).
Do not change the loadout of your ship in any way.
Email [email protected] with the following: 1. The name of your character. 2. Your ships type. If your ship has a name, it''s name. If not, describe where it can be found if you have more than one ship of that type. 3. The three screenshots. 4. Notes about any skills you are training or plan to train in the next day or so and what level they are now. 5. A description of where and how often this happens. Every jump?
If I get all the information above, I will copy your skill setup and ship loadout from tq and reproduce it.

I have this exact same bug :-( I'm not sure how to take screen shots of it but it is a fact that my MWDs work when I unduck but then are not working after jump. They give message that I need cap to put online

Edited by: Omron on 19/03/2004 18:23:38 I was able to fix this problem by toggling the module off and on two times while in the fitting station.

this makes eve unplayable. it doesn't happen to me with every jump but quite often. there is no way to tell the status of the modules other then checking the cpu or powergrid usage and that obviously only show if any module/s are indeed offline and not which. it's devastating to have the cap drained to 1/3 in the middle of combat and still have several modules offline, especially when you lose over 4000 cap and the recharge to 95% takes minutes.
please fix this asap!

I just had this happen to me.
I was docked put the mwd on and off we go.
After the gate i couldn't trun the mwd on. It wouldn't activate BUT it did use powergrid, did give the shield/cap penalties

lick, check out http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=68072
There's some more detailed info there as well as Hippey providing a log. Does anyone make those anymore anyway?

It would help if this option would be disabled till it is fixed. It¦s very annoying to travel in scorp even when only trying to use AB. ---------------------------------------------

the only work around I found is when u discover a bugged module is just to dock asap, take it off and refit it. Not great I know....

Actually no point in that I think. It might just as well just work after next jump without doing nothing. I found that if I turned the MWDs on in a different order after next jump they were fine

i'm starting to think that CCP should comepensate those having this problem. it happens far too often for me to engage in anything in .0. there is nothing for me in empire so what am i supposed to do in eve untill this is fixed?

I've experienced this bug a lot too. If I get a chance to play tonight I will take some screen shots of it and mail them in. Thank you Dev. for taking this seriously and for taking the time to look over things sent in. --Missa New Siggy to Come Soon(tm) |

I've only received one report sent in so far and that person sent it in before the weekend and lost his ship during the weekend before I came in - so I was unable to use it. But thanks to him anyway for the effort.

Hippey's log was of no help? I fail to see what screenshots can show that a log created with Logserver can not.

I had same problems with MWD and Abs.
Solved it by going to station. Unloading modules, packaging them and then refitting them to ship.
Modules worked ok after that.
