Can someone give me, or point me toward, info on the purchase and transport of illegal goods?
Are the customs officials still scanning and blowing you up? I've searched the topic, but all I pull back is the Knowledgebase blurb and a bunch of dated posts.
Wondering if anything changed in recent times.
Thanks,

You can trade in those goods if you have ship that enters warp faster then it uncloaks.
Like a Interceptor with Agility implants and rigs etc. You can get a Crusader up to 0.7s to align and enter warp. That's far too fast for them to lock, scan, detect the stuff, scam you.
There is also a chance they may not scan you at all. A corp mate when AFK across 20 odd jumps in high-sec caring that empire insignia (Illegal item) and was never stopped.
It's a crap shoot thats for sure. But if you can insta-warp you've got no problems.

I used to carry illegal goods around all the time before I realized it was dangerous. I've made hundreds of jumps with them, usually on autopilot in slow ships. Never once was scanned or attacked.

Hi,
Customs went on strike a while ago, sadly they are back in force now. You may want to join channel "narcotics", it's where a bunch of more smuggly types hang out. Speaking from experience (wine, autopilot, expensive ship etc) customs do indeed scan and blow you up.
Cheers,
