I'm at work and they monitor the traffic of the network plus, they have the ports blocked.

Stuck at work right now (4 day long island shifts ftl  ), when I'm actually playing though I have lots of time to read the forums or look at youtube or whatever when I'm sitting in a belt waiting for a custom.. I mean no-good low-life can-flipping scum to come along.

What he said, and my PC has crappy Intel integrated graphics.
I miss being the Network Administrator. It was nice when I could spend my slow days playing EVE with the sound off in my excessively large office. Stupid layoffs.
On the bright side, my new job has less responsibility and I make much more money! Maybe being an office drone isn't so bad. I still miss playing EVE at work though.

It seems that if you are a network admin you can spend all day playing eve/ho'ing forum whilst occasionally telling the rest of the office off for looking at facebook/ebay in their lunchbreak

"Desktop support" for a large IT outsourcing company. (Not the kind in India. The kind that brings people in to do the jobs that other people used to do.)

Fast.co.uk looks really good. Unless ofc you haven't finished your years sentence with tiscali. Btw, if you want your MAC from tiscali get it via a complaints email otherwise you will spend a fortune whilst on hold on the phone.

I'm ALT-Tabbing back and forth because I'm a relatively ignorant rookie, and every few minutes I learn something new here that I didn't know before.
Also, missions and salvaging get boring after a while, though EFT and EVEMon are excellent diversions from that as well.
Plan to head into low-sec in a Tristan to explore, learn, and be amused/entertained.

right now, most of my attention is taken up by an Anime (last ep of Minami-Ke)...
but I've been known to slovenly surf and post on the forums while running a mission in windowed mode ... I fly Amarr, which needing a perma-tank, cause killing things take time.

Additionally, most reasonable people avoid forums like this. So you get all these crazy super-extreme people.
Pirates are extreme YARR. "KILL *****PLUNDER AND DRINK RUM!"
Carebears are extreme squish. "I have lots of ISK but no idea on how to make friends or defend myself. And guns scare me."
Oddly both cry about the same amount, but over different things.
And then you have forum warriors who get as much enjoyment out of pvping on the forums as they do in the game.
Then you have the minority of sensible people who are neither overly yarry or overly squishy, and everything they say gets flamed to crunchy crispiness by all forum-warrior types.
It's very entertaining.

What is more amusing is when the Pirates and the Carebears whine about exactly the same thing demanding the same solution but for totaly different reasons. Now that is pure platinum Isk right there. Too bad it is rare.
