We all know the drill Mr. Whiner comes to the forums and says some long rant on why they are quitting cause of some lame reason that if they just did a small amount of effort they would be fine. Usally they are new to the game and rarely it Vet who usally quit after "Thier" ship is nerfed.
The first responce by law is "Can I have your stuff?"
has anyone ever given it to you?

Mostly it¦s a way to either encourage or just mock on the whiners, that despise all their whines never quit the game and only cries to impress or scare.
Also i recall some ppl posting on forums about if someone interested in their stuff cause they quit.

yes in a word,
i was fortunate to be online when a guy i knew through trading quit the game and i gained a freighter/hulk combo and some other "stuff" plus his character,,

Not someone from one of those threads, but yes I have had someone give me their stuff.

I gave away all the stuff I promised to give away in this thread. It wasn't really a whine/quit give-away though so I'm not sure if it counts.

I caused two people to quit Eve (one came back though  ) and neither had the decency to give me their stuff.
I did receive the stuff of one person who was sick to the back teeth with the endless bugs. He rejected mediocrity, gave me his stuff, and made me feel weak and impotent for not having the minerals to quit for the same reason. I've never got over it.

Not in this game, but in others. They returned after several months anyway and by then I was far wealthier than I was back then, so I just gave him upgraded versions of the stuff he gave me back.

I just had a friend from Black-Out leave the game, he left me all his stuff, raven, rokh, couple of drakes, all fitted and a few misc mods, and about 2mil isk... lol.
My wife has a Nos ability that puts a "Curse" to shame. |

I got stuff once. Friend quit EVE, sold his character for isk and gave it all to me and a couple buddies.
Man, that was a nice little shopping spree. I miss my Claymore.

A friend of mine was trying to decide if he wanted to quit Eve. He had gone through a cycle of terminating his account, only to re-open it a few months later. Eventually, he told me, "I think I'm ready to quit Eve for good." Jokingly, I asked if I could have his stuff. He replied by saying that he didn't really have a lot of stuff, but I could have his character if I wanted. I did, he did, and the rest is history.
Now his character is my invention/production/freighter ISK printer. When I told him what I'd done, he said, "But I always thought of myself as a combat pilot". Then he made me promise to never turn his character into a miner. I had no problem making that deal.

Every time I take a longer break from EVE (happened 2 times so far) I've given away about 3-5 bill isk..
I might slightly regret it when I get back, but I enjoy trying to make my money back each time, so in a way it gives me motivation to play as well. Also, both times it was real life friends, so it's no big deal..
If there's a next time I might keep my isk though:P
Although "hmm I'll give you 500mill isk if you drive me home after the party tonight" etc is very tempting when you're not playing actively:>

I used to play Dransik beta (Ashen Empire these days) for years ago and some high-level char gave all his stuffs away. He/she just dropped his stuffs all around. I was lucky to be the first one to notice and got nice sets of gear and huge ammounts of gold.. Well, i didn't ask for his/her stuffs :D
