Hi,
I cant find a "logoff" option in the client, am I right in thinking that to switch chars you need to quit the client?
Also, if I log on as an alt and am not actively training it, will the main (who is in training) continue to train?
Thanks for any info/advice! |

no there isn¦t a log off option you need to quit client then enter again.
You only can train 1x character at once, that¦s the reason most of ppl play with 2x accounts (or more). Also the main character will keep training the skills all the time even if you are not playing until it train the whole skill lvl. -------------------------------------- You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with 'til you understand who's in ruttin' command here. |

having to quit the client to switch characters is an extremely annoying feature that's been here since its launch. Why we cant have a 'quit to character screen' option is beyond me :(

not quite true, up to RmR patch you could switch characters on the client - though it would only work once and after that you got a currupt client message - they fixed it by removed the ability to switch ;_p

Just out of curiosity, how many have done the following like me....
Needed to sign off main and log in as an alt to do something. Ctrl+Q, logon and accidentally choose main. Oops, Ctrl+q again and logon - accidentally choosing main again. Rinse and repeat. Damn alcohol.

Guilty as charged. I've also done the somewhat more annoying "I'll just fire up another client while my main is in space.... oooops, was that my main account I just signed in again, thereby causing the character in space to log?". When I got the proper character back in space, someone in local was flaming me for being a logoffski:-(

I've got to chuckle because I've been in this boat. Mine was a Crash To Restart after a sound a'splosion when I hit the jump button at a camped gate.
Seriously, I was out for over a minute, and oh lawdy did I catch hell.

Thats because there is no real good reason why you would want to switch to an alt that often on the same account. My theory is that ccp made it like this so its a pain to switch to an alt for the sole reason of scouting and then logging back with main. ---------------------------------------------
