Add to my sincere thanks for taking away the cruise missile skill I had, but now cant use until i spend days training up heavy missiles, my additional thanks for upping Miner II's to mining level 4!!!!! WOO HOOO gotta love it!
You know there is nothing like having your cruiser all outfitted for mining, flying it 4 jumps, and go to turn on your lasers, and realize they dont fuqing work.
To add insult to injury, it will take me 2 days +, to get mining to level 4 just so I can use Modules I was using Fuqing yesterday. THIS IS ABSURD, did my character suddenly become retarded? Have a mental calamity? Develop AMnesia? Why change something so insignificant to the grand scheme of things? Are you just trying to **** us off?
I am seriously considering just canceling if these are the kind of changes that are going to be made to this game. YOU Developers need to learn how to leave well enough alone, or if you intend to make changes of this type LET US FREAKING KNOW IN ADVANCE!!!! so we can plan ahead.
I now have practially nothing to do for the entire weekend except watch my skill training light blink, because I cant mine, I cant hunt, bah, whats the use, they obviously dont think or care about what we say.

Agreed with the announcing skill changes
all people need is a little pre-info anmd were happy, otherwise its like your nightmare birthday every patch

Agree, tho the miners wont bother me, the missile skill thing sucks, i was finally going for cruise missiles, and now i have to learn heavy missiles too :( ------------------------ Remember, my child: Without innocence the cross is only iron, hope is only an illusion & Ocean Soul's nothing but a name...

I know i was really mad when posting this yesterday, but it brings up such a valid point.
1. Why change something that A isnt broken B doesnt hurt anyone C doesnt serve any other purpose then to hinder the players in the game
and 2 Why change something that works, when A there are bugs still rampant since beta B there are way more important things to worry about such as Content, and Castor
My point is, Devs, please leave well enough alone, worry about things that actually need fixing, and give the players a break already!!!!!!
Please restore Miner II requirements back to what they were previously!!!!!
The cap usage on them is insane now, players everywhere complain about people mining in battleships, but it is nearly impossible to load out a cruiser now, with all Miner 2's.
I was barely able to keep 4 of them running before, now forget it, i guess its time to bust out my velator, and my civiallian mining laser, and go back to 1.0 for some veldspar, since we cant mine anything else.

But i agree, that they should announce skill changes.

You should cancel now. Whining over such an insignificant change as making you have some resonable mining skill to use an advanced module is sad.
Hey, I'll even give you the solution.. fit Miner I's or named Lasers till you spend all of a day and a half getting to the proper skill.

The skill change was annoying. I for one wouldn't have minded the alterations if I knew about them.

I think this change is logic, almost every tech2 module takes lvl 4 of the skill to use it, so there is no reason to assume this shouldn't be the case of miner II.
I do agree that a little warning could be given out. but on other hand, they just looked at it like a bug, and so didn't think fixing a bug should need warning to the players.

If you allready have cruise missile skill, you can still use cruise missiles.

First off, it was announced, but not very loudly. it was on irc and in a csm chatlog iirc(dont flame if im wrong) second its been said that a miner without mining 4 and astro is really wasting their time. look at it as constructive skill guidance.
missiles was obvioues, as all other weapons require lvl 3 to advance up. and you can still use them, but if you want to train it up more your in a bind.
all in all the changes shoulds onbly have affected mid-type players, as advanced players allready had the skills, and n00bs werent close enough to really care.

if you already have the cruise missel or torpedo skill trained doesnt matter if you do or dont have heavy 3 you can still use em. I have heavy missel lvl1 and torp lvl1 from pre patch was firing torps no prob  --------------------------------------
