Hello everyone. I am new to EVE. ALthough I'm a vet to other MMO's like FFXI and Planetside. I'm really enjoying it so far. I have paid for a full account and I will be here for 30 days Minimum. I would like to join a Corp. Preferable a good one ;). I'm open minded as I do not know what to expect. I'm looking to be a leader. Battle Cruiser command and whatnot. I don't know anything.... So is there someone out there willing to take me under their wing?

There are several schools of eve starting to emerge that would be a good place for you. Eve University being the freshest in my head. I would also not excpect a leadership position in any corp being this new (unless you started one). Also don't ask for a "good" corp, because that is too unspecific. There are GOOD pirate corps like m0o that are by invitation only (but are considered evil) and then there are GOOD corps like TTI that are not really evil but not really considered good, but considered a powerful (so good) industrial corp). Just state what you are looking to do specifically and visit over on the organization HQ forum and browse till you find a forum warrior posting that fits your liking. Then interview with them and apply and most of all... HAVE FUN IN EVE!

Another wayward soul comes to EVE from Planetside. 
There are many corps out there that will welcome you in. But beware of the ones that thrust items and ships upon you. They will want something in return.

We don't "give" ships to new players. We help them achieve new ships. Simple process when it's recipient is in a new ship. Plus we offer new members the chance to earn at every opportunity. Not much into PvP (yet) but we offer the chance to NPC hunt. All new members are given their own battleship player to train with and we also like to help as much as possible. Stupid questions receive valuable answers. So i suppose you could call us an all round corp.

Haha.. Well I was kinda being sarcastic about the "Good" thing. I know there are lots of good stuff. I guess I know leadership is alot to ask for in the bigining I will also skill in fighting abilities. But I do not see myself as a Pirate. but Thanks for the help. You all are very kind. Anyway I guess I'll just respond to one of those in game recruiting adds. Thanks again. I know n00bs can be frustrating. I have so much to learn I my post again should some questions come up. :)
