Hi guys For the last month or so ive been using a dual monitor setup on winXP which ran great (appart from me hating XP in general)
so last night i decided to re install W2k pro, everything is great again apart from 1 small problem:-
Win 2k insists on spreading my login window over both monitors :/ has any1 else come accross this and solved the problem? if yes please share it with the rest of us, its only a minor problem but so annoying.
Im using the 53.03 nVidia Drivers(same as on WinXP, and using the nvidia desktop manager to send windows to the selected monitor, the problem i think is that this program only seems to take control of the monitor output after the log on screen.
any1 any ideas
cheers

I believe that there is an option somewhere to not activate dualscreen until logon...

How have you activated EVE to use both monitors ? What resolution are you running on those monitors ?

cheers scorpyn, ill check into there being an option for that.
Yes ive had Eve running on that dual monitor settup, it seems to work slightly differently than it did under wXP tho
In XP i had the 17" monitor set at 1024 * 768 and the 19" at 1280 * 1024
In W2k it would seem that i have to use the same resolution ob both displays so im having to run at 1024 on each which actually shows up as 2048 * 768.
XP seems to have a more refined Dual view setup (to be expected i suppose) and most of the changes i can manage with easily enough, just the login thing i know would really do my head in after a few days
BTW in XP i could run eve fullscreen on 1 while the otehr would stay active. in W2k if i go full screen then it automatically turns the 2nd screen off.
Ill have another play around with the settings over the weekend ive not had chance yet cos it took me so long to get eve installed, patched up and runnign again :(

sorry dosmaster, i didnt answer your question very well reading back again :(
if you connect the 2 monitors it will give you a clone of your original desktop by default, if you go into the settings of your display you can then alter the settings so that it will span horizontally.
ive have not used 1 eve client over 2 screens although i see no reason why it cant be done, i normally run 2 clients in windows then maximise them on each screen.
