I am just wondering, is it me or is Tempest Fleet Issue totally messed up in premium content? I tried number of things to fix the problem but it appears that the problem is not in my setup.
The problem is with the ship graphics. It either glows like someone lit it on fire ,or instead of glowing it will show completely white parts of the ship depending if you mess with HDR settings in EVE or not. The glowing part can be seen here:

Initially, once you make ship active it will glow. Upon undocking, the glowing parts will become completely white. Once you jump through the stargate it will glow again. Dock into station and it becomes white. Undock and it still shows white. Jump and it glows.
I tried resetting graphics settings, new drivers. I tried disabling Premium content and going back to classic and switching back to Premium. No results.
Did anyone else, or does anyone else, have this type of problem and were you able to solve it? I'd hate not using the ship just because it might give me seisure or something from all glowing.
My setup is as follows:
Mobo: ABIT AN9 32X Fatal1ty
CPU: AMD 6400+
RAM: 4GB OCZ DDR2 800
Graphics: BFG 8800GTX
Running Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

nope got exactly same prob here buyed my one last night and its same **** glowing. i turned premium off and all fine

I just looked this section up because I have the same thing.
with the standard ati drivers for an X1950 pro it looks like it's made out of strip lights and with latest catalyst drivers it looks like it's made from glowing coals.
Was concerned it is an ATI issue but seeing you have a spanky new NV 8800 card it cannot be that!
I read in the patch notes that there was a glowing issue with the tribal pest and that was going to be fixed so i wonder if it is the same thing.

this really sux have a fleet pest and cant use cause of this..... but at last she looks nice at classic content too

Have the same problem except, its white instead of glowing. Not very happy about it since i spent almost 700 on that thing some time back.

mh at last not alone with prob... anyone tried out to download clasic client and then manualy install premium content?? will do morow maybee helps also will try older catalyst drivers.... really a shame i play eve since 3 years and always had prob with bugs fps and other stuff.. i really wish me a pc that runz eve smooth and perfekt but after 7 total pcs in that time and always same probs i start to blame ccp bout ...

well tried out to install classic account then upgrade to premium but didnt helped... also changing back to older ati drivers didnt helped...

The problem isn't in drivers, files, etc. I removed every trace of EVE from my compter. Re-downloaded the entire client. Same thing. I had problem with some games before running from SATA-II drive (Battlefield 2 texture corruption, WoW wouldn't even install on it), so I tried running EVE from EIDE drive. Same thing. Moved it to USB drive, same thing.
I tried tweaking my graphics card driver, tried multiple combinations of AA, ANISO, HDR, etc. You name it, I tried it. Guess what? Yes, exact same result. Eye popping fiery glow as per my OP.
Another interesting thing is that if HDR is disabled or if Bloom is set to None in EVE, the front part of the ship, mostly glowing parts, becomes paper white. Zooming and changing angle somewhat so I can see affected areas better reveals antennas and white/glowing parts are completely flat. Parts of ship look like they're made of paper exactly (or some material that when light shines on it, it starts to glow like fire).
My assumption is that Tempest Fleet Issue(pun intended) isn't finished. It is missing mash and texture. Another ship where you can barely notice this kind of glow/whitness is Probe. If looking from behind/top there is a strip on the right side of the ship that will be a lot brighter than it should be. Messing with HDR/Bloom will turn this strip into paper as well. There are a few more which I can't recall right now, mostly Minmatar ships as I did not crosstrain and can't check out others.
I wish someone from CCP would confirm this or deny it or whatever so at least I know what to do with this expensive piece of junk. I am holding onto it so far hoping it will get fixed so I can use it. It really sucks that you can't use ingame item because of unfinished content. This "Premium" graphics patch reminds me more of Beta patch.

Basically the Bloom is outta control. Dunno why, but try turning Bloom off (Esc menu)if its a continuing issue.

Good to hear that they are aware of issue and working on it. I just hope it doesn't turn into feature 
Turning Bloom completely off causes ship to become white. The engine doesn't render those parts properly as if it's missing the textures or part of model. I would turn HDR/Bloom off completely if it fixed the issue but everything I've tried so far renders corrupted ship one way or the other.
Hopefully they fix it in the next patch.

i tried yesterday catalys 8.1 drivers out just to see that no improve in fps leads to an improve of grades for my grafik card bevore 8.1 aroudn 70-75 grades in station with premium 50-60 in space with 8.1 90 in station and 75 in space.... lol ati sux.. new driver to make grafic card become a toaster?? impresive... and my fleet pest still is bugged in hangar got nice skills for it but cant use...

I have exactly the same problem. I had it with my old 7600GT and still have it with my new 8800GTX, both using the latest drivers (169.25). It's about time this issue was resolved. I assume because there aren't many Fleet Tempest pilots CCP has made this a low priority. You can bet if the problem had been with the Raven it would have been fixed by now.
