i have a LRA maelstrom and my strategy is to cloak, jet, then bombard from a good distance away, and repeat if necessary. oh by the way, i would have 6-7 1400mm artillery pieces.
now i have no idea if that would work or even if it is the least bit smart at all,

I dont think you could lock fast enough for that to work, but i could be wrong.

My understanding is that you can not cloak while locked. so if they lock you you won't be able to recloak.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
What you're proposing to do with it is basically asking a special forces unit go train a bunch of civilians on how the proper techniques of farming... See how purpose and usage conflicts?

A black ops BS might pull that off since they dont have a uncloak penalty i just dont think you would have the alphstrike to kill anything with a decent tank.
Might be able to gank some autopiloting industrials but only in 0.0 since gate turrets would lock you thus prevent you from cloaking? May work as a technique in empire wars, but your better getting a decent gang to camp Jita.
