It's that time again!
I organized the last year's Portland meetup, under my old character name Silas Thessalonica, in February 2007. I found the best way to get the ball rolling was to have a small bit of discussion with a few people on a date range, and just set it.
Evemails will go out to everyone who has ever posted in an "Any Oregon/Washington Players" thread with a link to this thread.
Updates will follow over the next few days. Happy New Year!

I'm interested. Had a great time at the first one.  Will try to keep an eye on this thread. There's also the in-game chat channel: "Portland", that everyone is welcome to join. I'll try to keep the MOTD updated with details.

its about time for a west coast meet up. thanks for the eve mail otherwise i would have never have gotten it. there are 2 locations i know of.. a place downtown called backsapce that has computers we could all use, but you would be paying buy the hour.. and another place in NE portland called spawnpoint, they are cheaper and better.. the only issue is trying to get them to install eve on their computers..

I forgot to clarify the details of the meetup. As with last years meetup, this will be at a bar/pub/tavern in the downtown area. Not any point in having a LAN style meetup due to the nature and scale of EvE.
Its all about hanging out with cool ass people, drinkin', and talking about eve.

Has anyone seen Enjackah? I've been camped on the Portland channel for a couple of weeks with no sighting. Kennedy school works for me too - although I like the beer at Laurelwood better and it is also kids friendly!

I am willing to pick up the event planing position if anyone would like to get this back on track for some time in July?
I have a Pleasure Hub that will reserve a 30-40 person section for me at no charge with free pool (1 table) good prices on booze and Karoke after 9 p.m.
i will watch this thread or you can eve-mail me ingame.
I quit EVE for almost a year so now that im back id like to get to know some local Pod pilots and have some festivitys.
Any-one who's interested in helping is more then welcome, id like to get some raffle prizes going T1 BC's and the like so donations are welcome as well.
I hope i can get this off the ground so get back at me and I'll get it figured out.
