There's a lot of misinformation floating around and I would like a definitive answer if possible. Is there a difference in using a 1 run BPC or a max run BPC in ship invention?
Thank you.

So from what I gathered in that thread.
1 run BPC = decrypter bonus. max run BPC = decrypter bonus + 1.
Is that correct?

So, is this for battleship invention only? I know I made some 5-run griffin bpc's into 3-run kitsunes the other day using a cheap decrypter. It'd be handy to know just how many runs I should be researching for:
Frigs (5 seems to be good for me) cruisers (no idea) battlecruiser (no idea) battleship (1 run?)
CCP - please stop with the nerfing and boost something already. |

Also add:
1 run BPC no decryptor = 1 run

If its not Max Runs (or more, a few uber-BPCs still floating around), then it will give you the same results as 1 run (for ships, for mods its a bit different). I.e. 29 run Kestrel BPC = 1 run Kestrel BPC, as far as invention cares.
No decryptor or +0 runs decryptor: go 1 run +runs decryptor: go max run for the extra run, if you can. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |

OK, is there an accurate list of what the max run of any item type can be? I'm copying thorax, but the max run I can get per month is 4. Is that he max?
Thanks, Boom

- IF you are not using a +runs decryptor, for SHIP invention, : the input BPC runs does not matter, as you will be getting your output rounded UP to 1 run.
- IF you ARE using a +runs decrpytor, : using a max runs BPC over any BPC with less runs, will add precisely 1 run to your output (10 at max with the +9 decryptor, 5 with the +4 decryptor etc) This is because the number of runs you get is rounded down, unless you would be getting less than 1 run, in which case it rounds up.
