Just a quick query I have always wanted to ask.
Why is the iteron mk 4 worse then the mk3 in almost every way?
It seems to have lower powergrid, equal low/med slots, and one less high slot, and is slower.
It only seems to have a slight increase in base hold capacity, not even 4 low slots (as the trend in the other iterons followed one per level).
Just curious. Anyone able to kill the cat?

If i remember correctly the IV has greater agility...making it faster at turns from gates into warp and the like

the mark 4 is an amazing ship. My suggestion is to train the skills that support ship naviagation electronics and engineering. If death doesn't kill me...nothing will. |

Edited by: Titan AE on 19/03/2004 19:52:40 You know I used to ignore the mark 4 until I owned one. I looked at the numbers for it and thought "this sucks, why would anyone fly this over the MK3?". Suprizingly the answer is, its REALLY nice to fly. It doesn't get wegied on things, like other ships and asteriods as much because its very very small. It gets out of belts alive becuase it TURNS, kinda a novelty really :P. Thats it, its sorta like the frigate of indys, 10k cargo, and plesant to fly. Honestly if I had to take a indy into a BS spawning belt I'd take the IT4 simply because it can turn and warp out quickly.

I agree with the others here. I fly a Iteron IV for two reasons, first, it has a tiny bit more cargo space than the bestower I was using before. And second, Its small, in every dimension. The bestower used to have all sorts of problems undocking from stations with narrow ramps, but this iteron just cruises out as if it were in open space.

Agree with all the other above having had both, however, with hindsight, maybe it would have been more worthwhile persevering with the 3 till my skills were up to the Iteron 5 - which, IMHO, is the best Indy out there.

I must admit personally I was surprised to see it not have a 4th low slot making it a more obvious ship step between the mk3 and mk 5.
Thanks for the answers though folks, I will remember those when people ask me the difference

if iteron IV had 4th low slot itd kinda be too similar to the other bestowers and mammoths and ccp have this thing on not wanting to make counterparts but unique ships.
