Hey guys, im returning from a long long loonggg time away from Eve, i've been playing other MMO's, which only reminded me of just how unqiue Eve-Online is.
I just thought id say, hello to the new community (as i doubt there's many left from when i quit).
Just a little bit of history about me before i left:
I was in a corp called Rough-Necks, back in 2003-2004 i joined a pirate corp called m0o, and spent the majority of my Eve life there.
After m0o went into, lets call it "permanent" hibernation, i joined RKK (BoB allience) and remained there for a few year until i quit, cant remember exactly when that was.
Looking forward to getting my sub back, logging in and seeing what's become of the Eve i remember, nostalgia is bound to hit in quick :).

Ooh, you should take some screenshots of your fittings, I bet they are rather out of date now :)
Also welcome back. I'd say the community is very different these days, for the worse unfortunately. It's a much larger and impersonal playerbase these days.

I'll see what i can do for ya :D. Mostly named T1 stuff and some T2 stuff, alltho when i quit T2 mods were hard to come buy, i've still got my Deimos which set me back 750mil at the time of buying it! (Alot back then dunno about now :)) |

I'm a recent returnee as well though I haven't been away for nearly as long as you, but I think it's been about 2 years. I basically had the same feeling when playing some of the other mmo's, that Eve truly had a unique play style that stands out from the rest.
That and I enjoy these forums so much more. Last forum I was on was Rift and their 'OOPE' was pathetic. Only 2 things those people wanted to talk about was SWOTOR and GW2. Try to have any kind of intelligible conversation and all you got was blank stares and a empty thread. Gotta say I may disagree with folks here but at least I get the opportunity to do so.
In game has been a bit different as well. Still trying to get used to the warp to jump with the gates (I keep pushing the jump as I reach the gate and get the in session message). Auto-pilot has auto dock included and your way points include the station as well (big plus). Plus it seems the wait period to change ships is gone. And my scanning has been changed up some so I've been re-learning that when I get a chance. |

You can petition CCP for a free 1 time move of your character and 1 ship with all the cargo loot that ship can hold to safe location.

Welcome back. I won't hold the RKK thing against you tho. Mind you that fearless ex leader of yours made a habit of losing the most expensive ship class in the game. That was funny to a point I guess. Not sure what happened to him because I quit the game for a few years too.
Hey, jump in a suicide ship and head to Rens. We got lots of idiots over here you could gank. Its a nice space and I could use the extra tears in local. Low sec is pretty **** nowadays anyway. |

WH's or W-space is referring to systems only reachable by passing through a wormhole, as opposed to K-space which is all of the systems you'll see on the map when you open it. There are about 2500 wormhole systems in addition to the 5000 low-sec, hi-sec, and 0.0 systems. |

Unfortunately the experience from the good old days won't help you too much, because A LOT of things have changed and you will be lacking many skills to use all the fancy stuff. (I know because I had a four year break myself.) Of course, you should be able to fly a T2 fitted Interceptor, which can still be a lot of fun! Anyway, if you focus your training, catching up on some things shouldn't be too hard.

I have found screenshots from early 2003-2004 where I am flying a shield tank arbitrator and apoc with 1400 mm guns on them.
I wish I had screenshots for the shield tanked armageddon though.

Haha, i fly under the command of many great leaders back in the day, Lord Zap, TWD, Omniwar (he was nuts), The Reverend, Stavros, but im guessing your refering to SirMolle, poor guy got alpha'd every time we got into a large fleet engagement as primary.
I'll get onto that screenshot thing tonight then as we have a few requests :D. |

I decided to make a short video instead, rather than a dozen screenshots of some of my setups, what i logged into and the nostalgia basically :).

Unfortunatley many of my ships are un-accessible at this time (0.0 stations controled by lord knows who at this point).
Ive gotten an interceptor still equipped with a 10mn Afterburner, i remember trying that thing out, as soon as it was actived the inty just left the grid, it was hilarious. We managed to track down a Navy Raven (back when it was very rare) and take it out using this ship and scanning (the old fashioned way).
Also got a Gankathron which we used in lowsec/empire when tanking sentrys etc, big named rail guns, many magnetic stabs and basically defenceless. At one point it could out-damage the gankageddon!
Ive also found i still have my bomberthron, cant remember which war we were fighting at the time but they were throwing over 60 frigates at us, so a few of us undocked with these and, well it was messy, i think there's a video somewhere, but that Pod POPPING sound was music to our ears :D.
