Smart bombs should be renamed to Dumb Bombs.
They're not smart at all.
How did they ever get called that anyways?

a grenade style explosion based on ur ship yet doesnt hurt the user? sounds pritty smart to me. its the pilot who activates it at the wrong time that isnt smart not the bomb itself

Just make sure your SB's are always on the same highslot # as your AB's midslot #
