So I was talking to some goons about Rokh as a fleet ship, and they tell me, lol range is useless, no one would fly rokhs seriuosly in fleet because they are so bad. Looking at the stats, the rokh is now ahead of zealot, the ahac mainstay and someone must be flying them in considerable numbers and there should be a reason for it.
So what is going on? I don't see gangs of rokhs roaming around lowsec/npc null/wh so its gotta be in sov space. |

Consider that Rokhs with Neutron Blaster IIs have 700DPS at 18.9 + 17.5km range (what's that...36.4km?) with Null, and can either fit a 150K EHP buffer tank or a 960DPS active tank, I wonder why PL uses them. That is equal DPS to Hellcats and equal tank...and you start pushing 1200DPS with Void and overheat.
Plus, as I keep banging on about, the way that the fleet boosts are instantly applied to shields these days, you no longer get screwed out of up to 25% of your EHP upon jumping into a system.
I don't know why this is so hard for people and FC's to adjust to.

You get nasty DPS out of Rokhs, not to mention the pro tank. With the buff to rails recently, the Rokh and the new Naga have become viable fleet ships. Rokhs can also be used with rails for range. Not great dps with rails, but good tracking and rof, so great for sniping this pesky dictors.

The rokh was a good ship before the hybrid buff and it's certainly a good one after. It's "problem" is that it's caldari and uses hybrids. It seems 99% of the eve community is unable to comprehend such ships and refuses to fly them regardless of how good they are. Just look at the naga for a prime example. It's the best sniper ship in the game from all ship classes yet at least half the idiots on this forum want to "buff" it by making it a missile spammer. |

The people wanting to turn naga into useless torpedo boat ... way to go wanting to ruin a perfectly good ship with **** weaponsystem that doesent work properly even on a damn marauder with multiple TPs, rigs, role bonuses and ship bonuses.
EFT dps doesent convert easily to game dps when it comes to those sticks. |

The rokh is a pretty solid ship now for fleets and maybe even moderate sized gangs (neutrons plus null gives you 40km range).
A lot of people don't have caldari BS or large hybrids trained yet. There'll probably be more of them used once people get round to that. |

We've used Rokhs as the mainstay in one of our fleet doctrines to pretty good success ever since Hybrids got buffed a few months back. They're like Hellcats (pulse Abaddons) except they can hit out to lock range, which adds a lot of versatility. A couple alliances have copied us, but not many, so I'm still surprised they're top 20 in ship kill stats. I'm equally surprised that Huginns are up there considering they are a support ship. |

Raiden. has been using Sniper Rokh fleets with a supporting Tengu fleet against the CFC in Venal/Branch since mid-january, saw a more recent reincarnation of said fleet used by Nulli Secunda/Initiative Mercs, although they were naga's and fit rail guns, they jumped into a hostile gang, and died in a fire...
