Jin-Mei for your bloodline. Assign the additional 5 points to: +3 PER, +2 INT For heritage choose: Jing Ko Caste (+4 PER) For Career, choose Military For Specialization, choose Soldier
Does this look right to you guys?
Thanks

So you want some absolute 100% "this is the only way I can pvp effectively" setup?
I think thats a little strange, sorry. Just do what you think you want to specialize in. I chose soldier over special ops and pvp pretty well, but I really don't think there's this "one size fits all" answer for that, personally.

Thanks ...
I think.
Its not that I have to be the best. Im new and want to have fun and have the option to PVP as well as PVE as early as possible because these skills are based on real time is all.

The soldier set up is more gunnery oriented and the special ops set up is more drone oriented... both are effective in pvp...
I just dont think you would have a problem either way ;)

Next question ..
If i go drones, will I be more effected earlier? I guess its justs a matter of being able to compete .. even on a noob level earlier then leveling and getting what I need over time. Being a total noob I just dont know if drones or guns 'out of the box' are better for pvp
Thanks yet again.

Just to chime in one more time... as a Gallente, you will see that blasters do more damage than railguns, but railguns have more range... It's kinda one of those things that you just get a feel for after awhile of what you like. You will more than likely do PVE before you jump into pvp (if you are smart). Also, armor tanking is better for Gallente ships than shield tanking...
I use blasters when I pvp because I like to kill my enemy as quickly as possible, and I don't care how close I have to get... (with this comes in the factor of turret tracking speed as well).
My advice to you is to read the skills descriptions, decide which ones sound good, and for Gods Sakes, join a corp !!! They will help you immensely.

You can use both at the same time.

Race and blood line and all that stuff doesnt matter. All that maters is what your stats end up as in the end. The best race bloodline and what not for that is the new caldari one. The ones that look asian. It starts off with a base charisma of 3 and everything else is nice and high. I cant remember what you gotta pick for it but this is my stats right now with a set of +3 plugged in and +9 from learning skills not sure what the base ends up with if someone wants to do the math backwards.
Per 26.4 Int 24.2 wil 22 mem 19.8

The whole "make my charisma 3 so I can have uber stats" to me is a bit of an exploit. If you ever want to have any trade skills, you will not train them very well either. I definitely think Charisma is the least important attribute, but making it 3 so you can get some unbalanced uber avatar is kind of dumb.
Besides the fact that I have heard rumor that CCP is planning on implementing more skills that need charisma soon.
Either way, you kind of ruin the experience of "CHARACTER" creation by trying to squeeze the maximum skill points/over time without any regard to personality and RPing, but thats your choice. There's always the type that wants to do that kind of thing, and it's been that way for years. The funny thing is, they usually eventually get gimped because they were so extreme in their decision making. What normally happens is you get an extremely one sided character.

For RP and character personality I dont care. Thats not why I play Eve. I play Eve because its fun to blow up peoples ships. If I had it my way ships would be free and I would just PVP all the time and never carebear.
For them adding skills 3 base +9(skills) +3(implant) +10%(learning skill) = 16.5 I can live with that unless they had a TON of new skills.
And for trading skills like 5 hours of training gets you 20+ orders and 13 contracts thats enought for any pvper.

I started with Special Forces, and I now have more gunnery than drones skills. Choose something appealing, and have fun. It'll all work out in the end if you like Eve enough to hang around for a few months (read: a year).
Cheers!

Same here. I started with special forces, and I only just now (I'm closing in on 15k sp at the moment) trained for tech 2 small and medium drones.

Assuming you arent just trolling... If you're gallente, drones and guns are good, drones early is very nice because 2 weeks of training in drones will get you all kinds of nice things, and the thorax and vexor (good ships that most new gallente will fly a lot) both rely heavilly on drones.
Do missions and make money in high sec, look up Agony Unleashed, google it, follow their advice and take their basic PVP course, it will teach you a lot.

tbh, to me, my attributes do not make up my character in roleplaying in eve. I see them more as a out of character object. But perhaps that is just me.

DeadRow, you are right really. It doesnt make much of an RP difference... I agree. It still just seems a bit like exploitation to me, but I know its not cheating in any way. If its available to do it, then why not. I guess to me, It just doesn't "feel" right. I only gave my char a cha of 6 I think, so I'm not really big on it either, but it does help me to train the social skills and trade skills a bit easier anyway...
