I hope i someone hasnt asked this recently, but i was just wondering what everyones opinions were on cruisers. im new to the game and looking to buy a cruiser...it doesnt matter what race it is either just want a kick a** one

I would dare to say that the "best" all-around cruiser is the Thorax.

I'de say rupture is the easiest solo cruiser, it has agreat tank, no cap usage on guns (thas why its > thorax imo).
next would be a vexor since it outdamages a thorax if you nt it to, only drawback is the tank which is a whole load of fail, i guess in the same breath you could say go fo a arbitrator but that cant use 3 ogres and still have 5 lights in the bay. my recomendation for the vexor would be go long range and fit for speed so you can maintain a range > 15km. (note: i wouldnt speed tank, its a whole load of fail unless you invest a lot of cash in it, in which case you might as well have a decent ship, thus armour tank).
as a side note, its worth having a smartbomb on it to kill enemy drones. ohh and when i said speed, no mwd please lol, well you can but dont blame me when you die horribly
