Hello there all.
I am trying to find a good ship load-out for running lvl 3/4 missions.
I can use most everything Tech II accept for large lasers which i am currently training for.
Thanks =)

7 Mega pulses 1 Salvager
2 Cap rechagers 1 web
2 LAR`s 1 DC 2 racial dmg Hardeners (depends on mission) 3 CPR`s
Drone bay: Most would say 5 Ogres, but I would go for a mix of light/med and heavies.
But tbh an Apoc would do the job better.

Wouldn't that have some issues either a> keeping cap up or b> staying alive very long?

3cprs should take care of cap for you

7x dual heavy modulated pulse 1x Tractor beam 2x cap recharger II's 1x 100mn aft II 2x EANM II 1x Energized Thermic II 1x Energized Magnetic II 2x heat sink II 1x Tracking enhancer 1x heavy Rep II And of course i swap in diff resists as needed.
Note i am using this to run lvl 3s and to try and get a feel for a BS. Can the Geddon even run lvl 4s effectively?
EDIT: forgot about drones Using medium tech II's of all types depending on dmg type for anything that gets to close to hit.

Yes it can, as long as you remember that it is no Apoc. You'll want to kill BS/damage BC first and fast. Generally, the geddon has to kill rats before they overpower its tank, while the apoc will tank the rats all day, but take longer to finish the mission.

Well i have an Apoc also but i use that for mining =D Why would the Apoc take longer to complete a mission though?

I tried to do missions with pulse, but use beams all the time (on paladin). All i can say pulses rnt good for missions, because half of the time you will be running around chasing rats, which orbit you at 60k, also you will be waiting till the rats come to your range, before you can kill them.
On a geddon i would fit: 7 mega modulated beams with amarr navy crystalls 3 cap rech t2 (no need for web, use drones instead) 1 large t2 rep, 3 hardeners, 1 RCUt2, 2 HS, 1 cap power relay t2 3 ccc rigs drones: 4 heavies and 5 small
with lvl5 skills it is completely cap stable and does decent damage, it easily outdamages apoc. Make sure you avoid missions against gisti.

Highkoo:
Because the geddon, with its bonus, is geared towards damage, it's larger dronebay adds to that, it also is faster than the apoc.
The apoc has a much larger capacitor and can get a mean recharge rate if you stick enough cap mods on it, thus it will have less Heatsinks than the armageddon (note, the apoc has 7, the geddon 8 lowslots) and will take longer to kill any and everything in sight.

I've had good results with this setup of late, but mainly due to sticking to long-range.
[Armageddon, Ranged mission running]
2x Heat Sink II 1x 1600mm RT 3x Hardener II 1x EANM II Medium Armor Repairer II
3x Cap Recharger II
7x Mega Modulated Energy Beam I 1x Drone Link Augmentor I
1x Ancillary Current Router I
Drones to taste
Tank and gank is sustainable, and your Sansha/Gurista Resists are in the mid-80s. You won't have to kill time chasing rats like this, and range is to your advantage. TBH, i rarely use the Mega Pulse setup as it's prone to mass aggroing spawns :(

Sweet jesus, ok add two cap control rigs for recharge ditch the 1600 and med armor rep and upgrade to a large rep with cpr/hardener.
Or everyone in the thread can stop being time wasters and just buy an Abaddon already.

A Fairly Recent Armageddon Post I made.
Also, your Title says Armageddon, but your text says you're looking for a good level IV mission runner. If you're looking for a level IV Amarrian Mission Runner...then you're talking about the Abaddon.
