Am intending on using a smartbombing megathron to pop haulers at the gate. I've never had to tank sentries before (or used smartbombs before lol) so I'm wondering, what setups can people suggest, and what dmg type smartbombs to use, or a mix of all types? Any input is appreciated, thanks. edit: and yes I've used the search function
enymphia Malevolent Creation.	Posted - 2008.01.07 18:09:00 - [2] em and explosive bombs? and about the sentry tanking.. take a ship of your choice.. go to a gate and agress a sentry and be aligned to warp.. then u will se what u need for sentry tanking.

As haulers want to bring as much stuff as possible they'll use the lows for expanders mostly. Mids are used for tanking (if any) so EM is weakest. Best tank for a hauler normally is 2x invul II and rest shield extenders. Some people will maybe put in a EM hardener or even a TH hardener, so i guess best setup for popping haulers is 4x EM, 2x TH and 2x KIN SB.

As I'm using sb's tho, surely I don't need the megstabs so can whack on active hardeners and/or cap mods? With regards to a webber for bombing, needed or not?

With regards to a webber for bombing, needed or not? better go fit 2x heavy cap booster and maybe even change some tank for warp core stabs generaly u dont need to tank for wery long and stabs will help u if u get in trouble

With that in mind: Medium: 4x Cap Recharger II / Cap Injectors Depends if you care about running out of cap charges. Low: 2x Large Armor Repairer II, exp/kin/thermal hardeners, 2x warp core stabilizers High: Smartbombs Rigs: CCC See if one Large Armor Repairer is enought to tank sentries, if so add another WCS. Smartbomb targets and run as needed. Success -------------------------------- This has surpassed the Yarrdware specification and has been dubbed Uberware - Oveur

Instead of whining i returned and put 3 points on that pirate. He was going down to sentryfire and than poof -> warped off. It made me want to vomit. Worst part, he was a member of a respectable pvp alliance. Hope he enjoyed the T1 crap. (Hauler was empty, so no reason to scout). Fit more tank, fit more plates, whatever. But dont ever suggest warpcorestabs.
