In every great Empire there comes a time when the differences of the people reach a flash point and civil war erupts. During this time brother kills brother, son kills father and father kills son. Our first wound came from the treachery of m0o at the hands of the (False) Lord Zap. Now this new wound comes at the treachery of our own selfish nature. The seeds of doubt have struck at a time when a once Grand Imperial Navy caved in on itself because of boredom and low morale.
For the last six weeks I have poured a great deal of effort into building an image for the Forsaken Empire only to see it tarnished by the deviltry that is civil strife. Both sides blame the other and both sides are unforgiving. While they fight and bicker at each other the wild jackals of EVE move ever closer on the outskirts of the Empire circling, on the hunt, waiting for the wild wildebeest to succumb to exhaustion. While the Lion of The Vale of the Silent stood the beasts of the galaxy could only tremble in fear. No they can only stare in wonder at the fall of such a mighty nation.
My Emperor is dead and the remaining pillars have yet to choose a regent to take his place. My new master is the mysterious Black Oracle of Curse that warned the Emperor of the hand in the dark that would take his life and the ensuing rebellion to follow. The Oracle has forbid me to take sides in this matter and retreat into the depths of space, denounce my military and political titles and to contemplate the last words of my Emperor and his religious teachings.
The last words of the Emperor charged me to keep an open channel to Grand Admiral Hupa and Grand Admiral Bandit24 in the event that they choose to return to the ways of the Forsaken Empire. The Emperor warned me the day that we officially band piracy that the ôFlames that burn within out hearts and drive our kind to battle are difficult to master and such discipline can only be learned through failure, and then, if you survive you have but one chance to turn away.ö For a long time I never understood what he meant, but, as I fought Damian Kurse in the Emerald Throne room of the Citadel of the Dammed I realized that he, the Emperor was gone and that the burden of his teachings were to fall upon me.
Many of the knights of the Order of the Forsaken had not leaned this lesson; many had not been exposed to it. Now as the lines are drawn only the wisest and most cunning will hear the calling and abandon the war. To then I leave this message:
ôSeek me not at the Citadel of the Dammed for the Emerald Throne has been stained by the spilling of Imperial Blood. No seek the Emperor amongst the followers of the Black Oracle of Curse for it is there that his teachings originated and it is there that they have found a resting place. The Emperor has placed his ring upon my finger, not to take his place but to protect his heir until the time comes when he is ready to take the throne.ö
ôThis message was the final will of the Emperor, may the Others guide him and protect him on the River of the Dead.ö
I will continue to write for the Forsaken Empire but due to the conflict of interest between the four remaining pillars and Bandit24 I cannot choose sides. Bandit24 is my close friend and former CEO who trained me and helped me to survive in the world of EVE and I could never turn my hand against him. My oath however, to the Empire is one that I did not give lightly. So it was the consensus of the remaining four pillars that abdicate my position to serve the Black Oracle. I will remain in contact with the diplomatic services of both Huff Technologies and the Forsaken Empire in the event that they need my services.
Hence fourth I now serve the Black Oracle of Curse and have been appointed the keeper of the sacred Forsaken Chronicles.
My services as mediator will be available to all for a reasonable donation to the Black Oracle.

A lot less actually, FE withdrew their wardec last night. Jade is currently suffering from a 24 hour paralysis of the fingers - I dare say there'll be some comments when she gets better.

My fingers recovered a little bit ago Athule, I have been waiting for the withdrawal to be official before making an announcement. I will probably use the war-dec thread, it seems most appropriate to say something there.

Ah limpy our next war is not for you! Never fear ... other villains have it coming. (and don't mock the frigate my love, as you know, the winning of wars hasn't got much to do with inclicting mere economic damage.
