Edited by: Rion Deteisan on 07/01/2008 20:23:01 Ive been having a issue since Trinity where my "power of 2 account" gets 10-15 fps. My main account gets about 90-95 fps when running by itself, and about 40-45 fps with the second acount running. HOWEVER, The "power of 2" account ALWAYS is at 10-15 fps (even when running alone without my main account on). Since CCP hasn't responded in over a week, I need help... Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? This issue is making want to quit.

Hmm, sounds like you have the same problem I have. Please check out and let me know. It would be nice to find out I'm not the only one. -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes

not really, my problem is isolated to my "power of 2" account and it happens the second I log on. The performance for the power of 2 account never really gets better or worse. It just stays at horrible.

Ok first off saying it's related to your power of 2 account is just silly and wrong, your account has NOTHING to do with your FPS.
What i gather you are trying to say, is that you are having issues with running two accounts at the same time, right?
So lets try and diagnose the problem. Are you running both accounts from the same executable? Are you running both accounts from different copies of your eve folder? Are these copies in the same place? or on different drives or partitions?
Where is your '2nd' account in eve? Is it logged off in Jita on a sunday? Or in a high load system eg 100+ pilots?

Max, This problem happens with only one account and not the other. It happens to the power of 2 account even when the main account is not running. The solar system doesnt make a difference in my FPS. It stays at 10-15 at all times. I use the same computer at all times: I only have one.
As for the folder questions, I just use the same icon for each account. Should I make a second folder and use that icon to run my second account??

While I have no problem running one acct. under trinity (premium not installed), I have a problem when running both accts at same time from same computer. Before Trinity lag was not such a problem running 2 accts. but what you seem to be saying is just running 1 acct. causes problems. One issue may be your CPU as I think Trinity now shunts more load to the CPU than the vid card (correct me if I am mis-informed). What I also notice is running 2 accts simultaneously, will generate a "Virtual Mem. Low" message if I am using both accts to run a mission.

Its just so weird that a particular account of mine is targeted to run slower. If I were to boot up my computer and log onto my power of 2 account, I would have a framerate of 10-15 fps. I can log onto to my main account and get an easy 40 on the main, while the alt is is still getting 10-15. Its like the power of 2 account has a capped fps-- and its set too low.

It has to be a setting difference. The game simply doesn't work differently for different accounts.
Try making a fresh copy of your main account, and run your power of two account from that installation...
You know, C:\<path>\eve.exe /end /LUA:OFF and all that. -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes

okay, I installed a second copy of eve in a different location. I used the two separate .exe's to run a different account. It did not help. as for "C:\<path>\eve.exe /end /LUA:OFF"... I have no idea what that means.

Would it be possible if you have dual core to force 1 core for each client?
Just a thought

Don't do this. Dual core cpu's naturally handle two apps better than enabling a core to each. This is what they are designed to do.
Also, check your video card control panel, and make sure your two Eve Online profiles are the same. I suspect you have your "power of 2" .exe set to higher settings.

How would i check the Eve Online profiles? I checked on the website and saw nothing for a setting for that.. Hopefully, I missed something there. The power of 2 uses the same .exe as you normally use; and only runs bad on any of the three characters of the my alt account. So, it cant be my video card control panel.

Have you tried looking at the Graphics settings in game? by pressing escape. Could be that your 2nd account just has higher level features enabled. Ive played on tons of power of 2 accounts, never had a problem.
