Mo Steel Caldari Sanguis vix Dignatio	Posted - 2008.01.08 19:28:00 - [2] Ouch on the resists; why not swap out a boost amp and the 3 cap rechargers for 4 hardeners (2 each dmg type of mission), then just use the XL Shield Booster as needed? Also, you could then swap the cap flux coil's in the lows for BCS IIs, which would improve your damage. And using cruises, you'll want all the damage output you can get your hands on, believe me. ----- Want a sig made? Eve-Mail me, signatures made for 5 million isk each.

Second, tear off those cap rechargers and throw them in the bin. Check out one of the many sites that specialize on mission info, and use that info to fit hardeners in the empty slots. Acoco Osiris Gallente	Posted - 2008.01.08 22:10:00 - [9] You have a few flaws with your setup, which I'll try to explain. First: the mids. Very few XL shield booster Raven setups are cap-stable (and most of those pack a Gist X-type). Give up total cap stability, and ditch those rechargers for resistance modules and possibly a target painter. Second: your utter lack of resistance modules. For missions, you should put on 3-4 T2 shield hardeners. Yes, that does mean you'll wind up ditching a boost amp. Check www.eve-survival.org (works with the in-game-browser) for which hardeners to fit for which missions (may include invulnerability fields for some types). Third: in your quest for cap stability, you fill your lows with cap recharge modules. Give it up. Put in 3 ballistic control systems (which will really help the DPS), and you have 3 choices for the other two lows. I would recommend either 2x cap flux coil II or 1 CFC and a DCU II, but it's up to you. The damage control (gives you extra buffer and non-stacking-penalized shield resists). Only 1 can be used, and would do best for short, bloody fights. The power diagnostic system gets you extra buffer, some cap recharge, and +5% powergrid. The cap flux coil hits your cap size, but provides the best cap (and with it sustainable tank) recharge boost. Probably the best option for long fights. Fourth, you lack drones. Put in 5 mission-specific medium and 5 MS light T2 drones to mop up small targets. Fifth, consider ditching the tractor for a Nosferatu. It'll help your cap a bit. Finally, shoot for about 500 DPS tanked, that should allow you to tank the majority of L4 missions (though a few toughies might go up to 800 or so). ------------------- I nerfed my own sig To amuse you, here is my Retriever ever since its first Trinity deployment. The less damage you take, the less shield boost you need + more dps output from you = less time tanking and much faster mission completion. My CNR setup is similar to Darth's: 7x CN Cruise 1x Tractor Beam 1x Pith B-Type X-L Booster 1x DG Shield Boost Amp 3x Rat specific hardeners T2 (ie vs Guristas, 2x Ballstic 1x Therm) 1x Inv Field T2 3x CN BCU 2x PDS II 3x CCC I
