Edited by: Lithalnas on 09/01/2008 01:27:15 I hate macros/mission farmers
It all started way back when I bought my shiny new coercer. I spent all my money on that ship with mining lasers, co-processors and cargo extenders. If I mined Kernite all day I would make a Million Isk. I would be Rich!
I joined a little old mining corporation and started mining in some system 8 jumps from Amarr. Then I found my first Macro. 24/7 he mines all the ore within 1 system of my home base. I got mad at him but i was still a noob. But my hate grows each day.
Fast forward to today. I still have a burning passion to kill farmers and 21mil SP more to kill them with.
Isenairos, a suburb of the farmer haven Motsu. I like this system, lots of targets and less lag than some of its surrounding systems. Well I decided to do a little probeing today before my shave and shower. Probably will not get anything but hey its always worth a try. I use Jose Jalape±o on a Stick and kick out a yellow probe. Less than a minute later I get two hits, A raven and an Armageddon. The raven turned out to be a warp phantom but the Armageddon led up to a warp gate.
Bookmark the gate and return with Lithalnas' Omen, my trusty Zealot. Let us see what kind of mischief I can accomplished.
My Zealot is relatively untested, its great at killing industrial ships. Well lets pick a wreck outside of scram range and see if they don't like me. I start moving and a raven and tempest lock my threateningly. Well it should be noted that this was a variation on the farmer 4. Raven and Tempest for DPS, Armageddon with 8x hardeners for tank and last a remote reping domi. The domi has no real tank, mids and lows are full of cap recharging mods and 2 Large armor repairers. I start liberating expensive tags from their now diciest owners. The quartet finish off the last NPC, now the fun begins.
I was very careful of who I agro'd when picking up tags. I only had 1 person with kill rights so I wouldn't be overwhelmed.
The tempest fires at me. Missing with most of his shots. Tight now I am 30 km out, I need to cover 10 km before my scram is in range.
At this point I alt tab and start my playlist named ôPirates!ö. I have this one filled with some of the more interesting tunes from Pirates of the Caribbean. So if you can, imagine the rest being played out with that funky pirate music that makes you want to walk with a swagger.
On with the show, Tempest is flashy red and aliening to warp out., well never quite gets there, I start spamming the scramble button about 21k away. Finally it engages, now the fight begin in earnest. My lasers start pulsing green fire into his shields, 30 seconds later Im into his armor by half. The domi foes flashy and he gains 25% armor back and 10% shields.

Edited by: Lithalnas on 09/01/2008 01:27:54 Well we cant have this now can we? I keep the tempest scrambled and go to work on the domi. Get the domi to half armor and he kicks out wasp I Is. I start taking significant damage from the drones, but not to worry. I pop each drone in 3 to 4 voiles and that problem is solved. Back to the domi, which has dual repped back to 100% armor,. It takes me another 5 to minutes of constant shooting to bring him back down to hull. The domi warps off.
At this time I am panicking in MacroIntell to get people to help me survive.
(chatlogs have been changed to protect the innocent, and just pain maid up for dramatic effect)
ôneed help in isenö ôAre you engaged?ö ôYESö ôDot for gangö ôNeed remote armor repsö ôNeed 800'sö ôhuh?ö ôsomething going on?ö ôAnd then she said come back to bed dearö ôdot for gang peopleö ôsure lithö ôgang meö
The first wave of help arrived Just as I killed the 3rd drone from the domi and started to rep my armor at 50%. Thanks for remotes guys.
Domi is gone and I have a juicy tempest all by himself. Well his shields die in a rather short order, then armor, then hull, pop. I look in the can and find 3 1400mm 'scouts' and 4 Gyrostabilizer I Is.
Well done to those who helped. Yarrr. -------------

Nice story and a good read, but one question why ask for help in macrointel? These guys are mission running not macro mining/hauling.
Or is it that your frinds hang in that channel?
Anyhow sounds like a fun fight, people always complain that the Zealot sucks, if they only knew.

I thought you got Global criminal agression from remote repping?
Or does that not apply if both parties are engaged in combat?

The fact domi with only 2 reps for tank and no hardeners took 5 minutes to lose its armor doesnt ring a bell for you?
Back on topic, should have kept the point on domi once you commited onto him imo, and ignore drones. But you made it so no biggie.

Edited by: Lithalnas on 09/01/2008 02:51:31 Are they true macros, no, there is one guy with 4 accounts generating isk to be sold for RL money.
with names like ldfsihjbdsadin, in an NPC corp, no corp history And flying with two guys with chinese names and another forhead + keyboard name I just assume farmer.
