I think USA's government is one of the oldest democracies in the world that still exists today.
Some say its pax americana, but its quite different, we have regime change every few years, so no need for revolution.
We've done had our bloody civil war that turned us into 1 solid nation instead of 13 allied states.
We've done overcame slavery, civil rights, and are now policing the world.
Some like to compare USA to Rome, but thats really quite stupid. We spread out our power to keep the world peaceful.

Being world police sucks, but its better than WW3, which would involve nukes.

I like the word regime change, has there ever been a sitting president that sat for 2 terms without almost being empeached (except maybe current, and if performence counted for anything he should have been gone A LOOONG time ago, epic failure of democracy (see florida debacle  ).
LMAO @ one solid nation, the entire thinking behind the state system is that states are supposed to have their own powers (national guard anyone). Also each state having dramatic differences in laws doesn't really sound solid imo, sharp divisions between red and blue states(I could write more)
Slavery was a side show of the civil war, more like classic american revisionist history in action which the new 'purpose' of the war was to liberate slaves and instill human rights (huge farce, look it up sometime, and no its not bs)
Great job policing the world btw.
You obviously don't learn from your mistakes; see isolationism in pre-WW1 (luftansa, or w/e the ship was called), post-WW1(league of nations, epic pullout) and re-occured in WW2, and now today everyone wants to pull troops back home, well done)

I heard GTA IV wasn't going to be made as the makers felt they'd taken the franchise far enough, but SirMolle intervened to ensure one of his members would apparently disappear to lull the coalition into a false sense of security in that they could be winning. Either that or he's just waiting for a new mothership to be built.

bob leaders used to have to entertain their troops by dragging them into distant territories to get a fight. now that method of entertaining us (territorial ambition) has been put on hold for a while ( ). but the average bob peon doesn't really care which method is used to entertain him, as long as he gets his pew pew.

lol@goons for going absolutely ballistic at the mere thought that BoB (some or all) are actually enjoying themselves, considering goons stated objective to utterly ruin the game for any opponnent. Yea you can say this is BoB propaganda - problem is however - BoB said pewpew was their main aim a long time ago, prior to goons and other RA lapdogs even having a go at them. Map domination and pewpew. They sure arent dominating the map, but the pewpew part is there in abundance. I can fully understand y this is a problem for goons. If BoB is actually enjoying themselves, odds are theyll put up much more of a fight and, oh no - they might not die if/when they are kicked out of Delve and actually be a constant problem for goons. oh ohh.

Look at the bitterness over a computer game
A random BoB member posts about how much he is enjoying the game at the moment, and almost 3 pages of people jump on him telling him he is not. Guys if the man is enjoying himself, the man is enjoying himself. I have to say I echo his sentiment, I am really enjoying myself.
Which makes me wonder, who is actually getting reifed here, is it BoB? Losing all of our space and POS(or as molle calls them Capital traps), or the countless alliances allied against us with a KOS list of just a couple of alliances reduced to only engaging in node destroying blobs?
TBH I blame it all on the T2 rocket BPO T20 spawned

Band of Brothers was a big super alliance where it expanded into and colonised many regions of the world... i mean universe conquering and taking over regions at a time, its military was second to none and it regularly would defeat many other colonial... (scratch that), corporate powers it came across.
As it did this it would place governors.... um, friendly corps in these regions in exchange for tax... or rent money.
One alliance, Goonswarm, felt that it was unfair that they pay taxation without representation in parlimen.... BoBs leadership and so rebelled against the British Empi... Band of Brothers.
All that remains to be seen is how this war of independence will play out....

I feel your explanation to others of the fun you are having was good but it lacked something. May I suggest in the future you attempt to explain your fun in outline form like
I. We are having fun
a. We only want pew pew
i. Our opponents are not having fun.

It's hard to understand* why so many seem to think that it's so unbelievable that players might enjoy the game they spend money each month to play.
Sounds like some Goons want their in game actions to mean more than they do. Your fighting in a video game where the main objective is to fight. Hopefully both sides enjoy the action, if not, what's the point?
