If you remote repair someone who is at war, will you be killed by Concord?

Edited by: Roemy Schneider on 09/01/2008 06:58:26 you get a yellow aggro counter towards all of your buddy's war targets, iirc. so you blink red for them as if you stole from their containers (only 80% sure though :o) - putting the gist back into logistics |

That's what I was thinking, but the "You are about to aid someone at war. Do you wish to proceed?" thing has got me second guessing myself.

I'm sure I read somewhere that such actions would incur a visit from Concord !!

Remote rep a war target, you become a war target, no concord involved.

I think if you're in a gang with the person you're repping, it shouldn't matter what you're doing. Unless you're in a gank. _____________________________ Thorek Ironbrow of Ironbrow Industries Co. Part of the Empire Research Alliance Look us up in Nomaa or Itamo to join! |

Eventually you will find one of the many bugs.
Remote repping bypasses the CONCORD warning. Once repairing, you only need to slip onto a weapon F Key instead of a repper F key and you can kiss yourself goodbye.
And if you are spider tanking as in the case with these guys, you're all going down to CONCORD.
Another quality bug brought to you by the same people who claim drones won't automatically agress somebody who was flashing red that you fired at, but is no longer flashing anymore.
"There are no bugs in Eve, only you n00bs" fanboi rant begins in five, four, three, two.... one.

So accidentally shooting someone who is not a legal target is a bug rather than a mistake? That's an interesting view you have.
Remote repairing someone at war flags you to his war targets for 15 minutes. No CONCORD involved unless the person you're remote repping does something to get CONCORDed. ---------------------------

Just curious, how long does this last? If you were to aid someone at war, like joining their gang/fleet or repairing them are you flagged for the entire duration of the declaration or is it just the 15 minute aggression timer?
I'd like to understand the consequences of my actions before I actually do something stupid.

It's just the 15 minute aggro timer. I think this would be reset at the beginning of each rep cycle, so 15 minutes from the point you stop remote repping.
Being in gang with someone who is at war makes you a target for their war targets, but does not visibly flag you to them unless you do something like remote repairing. ---------------------------

A more fun variation on this happened during our last war with Omerta Syndicate...
Alliance member A remote reps Alliance Member B Alliance member B accidentally activates a gun with member A as selected target and gets globally flagged, and CONCORDOKKENED... the fun twist though, as member B was repping him when this all happened, she also got flagged for aiding an outlaw, and CONCORDOKKENED aswell... ---
